Charles G Mosse
NOW SOLD, PLEASE REMOVE [s]This is a 1984 Tokai Hardpuncher "precision" style bass, professionally defretted. Its in very good condition considering it's age, the obvious scratches and dings here and there (but i think that's cool) it plays very nicely considering it's been defretted rather than originally fretless. When i recieved it I did have to file down the nut a little bit as the action was too high on the lower notes. there is buzz on the 12th frets that i haven't got round to sorting out. It has a beautiful warm tone and you can hear the 1984 tokai "sound" when it plays. now onto why... I bought this bad boy from japan a few months ago, waited 2 months for it to arrive and have had it for a month and a bit... So why i am i selling it so soon? you ask.. The main reason is simply it doesn't suit the style of music I like to play/write, and the fretless sound doesn't seem to mix well with pitch shifters and distortion very well...also I could do with the money right now. I'd like £250 not including postage, so whoever can't pick up, i'll arrange a courier and add the extra. PM for more info/pics.[/s] Edited June 27, 2012 by Charles G Mosse
