HADGE Posted May 20, 2012 Share Posted May 20, 2012 Hi i know it might sound daft but im no good on mending gear so can anybody tell me how to get to the speaker on a ampeg 1x15 svt cab cause i think its blown no sound coming from it iv tried another amp and lead thanks. bertbass Posted May 20, 2012 Share Posted May 20, 2012 If the back is removeable, that is with a load of screws around it, then take out the screws, take the back off and unbolt the speaker. No screws in the back? Then the front cloth is vecroed on. Gently prise it off, undo the speaker bolts, they'll be bolted into T nuts and remove the speaker but be careful of the wires to the speaker. Disconnect these before pulling the speaker right out. I've never owned an Ampeg cab so I don't know how the speaker wires are attached to the speaker so it might be best to have a soldering iron at the ready for when the speaker comes out.
