They're stunning basses with bags of tone and killer punch (supposedly from that unusual neck join?). Really beautifully crafted basses with amazingly versatile tone, I'd rate them up there with the likes of early Sandbergs. If anyone is undecided, I'd strongly recommend trying it out, I'd be willing to bet you'd be seriously impressed. Best of luck with the sale dude. If it's possible, maybe record some licks with the bass and post them on here?
