The man behind the bass...

Just watched a very interesting prog on Jack Bruce, last night on BBC2 Scotland.Mostly about his time with Cream, but also a bit about his pre-Cream days.An interesting player to watch I must say.I never paid an awful lot of attention to him in the past, but having seen this,I now see him in a different light.A competent pianist and vocalist,he did a few numbers on piano, backed by a collection of folk musicians. The last number was 'Sunshine of Your Love' with Jack on bass, and backed by fiddle, accordian, bodhran and acoustic guitar.Class! While he was being interviewed,he had a nice WAL bass with a Warwick neck beside him, although he used a fretless Warwick while performing.
Need to dig out 'Songs for a tailor' now,and have a listen.

A WAL with a Warwick neck?

Sure it wasn't his Cream Reunion bass??

The red one on the sofa? It's his Survivor bass made specially for him by Warwick.
Apparently made from some very rare 1960s mahogany according to a mate of mine.
