paul13
i have recently bought an old Ibanez sr 1000(the ones made in japan) and it makes a clingy sound when I play above the 12th fret...it sounds as if the strings are hitting the frets what do I do to get rid off that annoing sound? Edited January 19, 2012 by paul13
markstuk
I think it's knackered and you should sell it to me for a pound More seriously it's probably a combination of needing to adjust the truss rod and maybe raising the action.... If you've not done this before, get someone else who knows how to do it This is based on a surmise rather than listening to your clip which is some weird apple nonsense format... paul13
sorry i don't know exactly how to use the attachment ) should the truss rod be so stiff? I am afraid it will break if i force it http://soundcloud.co...antz3/test-577# Edited January 19, 2012 by paul13
markstuk
Hi, your soundcloud link is borked .. :-) take the bass to a tech.. then when the truss rod snaps it's his problem :-)
V4lve
This is based on a surmise rather than listening to your clip which is some weird apple nonsense format...
Seen this problem before on another Basschat post with a PDF. IPB seems to be an iPhone Perl script file type extension. Just download the file and rename the extension to mp3. Edited January 19, 2012 by V4lve
