I usually hang around at the Dutch bass players forum, but found out that Google searches on bass-related topics frequentely directed me to this site, so I decided to register When I was a teenager, my sister's boyfriend lended me his bass guitar, but I never managed to learn to play it. Twenty years later, I decided to give it another try. So I bought a second-hand bass guitar (a 4 string Cort Action) and started taking lessons at a local music school. I have been playing now for more than two years and am currently using a Squier Vintage Modified Precision. I play bass in a concert band at the music school and in another local concert band (composed mainly of yound and/or beginning musicians) together with my 10 year old son, who plays drums and percussion.
