SwamiRob Posted October 27, 2011 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Gonna be recording in a couple of months, and really wanna find some balanced strings beforehand, want them cos I imagine the overall sound will be much better not having the typically awful boomy E string and tight thin sounding D and G, but for recording it'd be really nice if I didn't have to have the masses of mulitband compression on my bass that a decent set of strings would sort out. Circle K seem like they'd be awesome, however paying just as much for postage as you are for a set of strings is a bit rubbish, I'd gamble on buying a few sets since they seem awesome and the actual strings are only 15 quid which is less then a set of ernies at alot of shops, but definitely can't afford that. SwamiRob Posted October 27, 2011 Author Share Posted October 27, 2011 Can't see anything about them been balanced on the site, usually they make a pretty big deal of it, and even with balanced strings the bass side is much thicker and treble side much thinner it seems too.
