Hey guys, Posted a soloing/chord tone exercise last week and a lot of players seemed to get something from it, so.... I decided to do another tutorial based on chord tones. It's not an exercise specifically for soloing... it's for EVERYTHING bass lol! It'll help you with your bass lines, soloing, visualization of harmony on the fingerboard etc etc.

Here it is... http://scottsbasslessons.com/free-video-bass-lessons/creating-bass-lines-and-grooves/chord-tone-exercise/

Thanks again for watching!

Scott.

Scott. Great and thanks again. Brilliant stuff. Will check this out later for sure.

One thing that i can't find (in a way a simpleton like me can understand) is the use of the "wrong" notes when soloing. I was hoping that someone might put something up that shows how to integrate say chord tones and "wrong notes" over a 2-5-1 so that the solo doesn't sound so twee and sounds more, well, jazzy.
