A PRS, a 2002 LP Standard, a Fender Japan Strat...

Recommended Posts

ADDED THURS 20th OCT
The Les Paul and the Fender Japan have now been SOLD.
I'm willing, as per my post below, to discuss suitable trades as regards the PRS.

ADDED THURS 13th Oct:
I'll be happy to ship within UK; £10-worth of postage costs included in sale; payment= cash for local collection, otherwise to my bank account via direct transfer before postage. Sorry to PMers for my causing needless confusion.

The Wizarded Vintage Icon VJ96 on the Basses For Sale section has now been SOLD..

Allrightythen: I trust you'll research my Basschat pedigree here, as it's finally time for the moment I've been putting off for a few years: I'm both moving from a recording to a live environment and confessedly deeply desirous of a very nice Parker Fly.

I have for sale the following...note that details below are brief: for detailed pics and full specs please visit my gallery as follows, else this post will be a mile long:

Please PM me for more details or mail me at the addy shown on my gallery.

2002 Gibson Les Paul Std; honeyburst, 60s neck. It has been upgraded with BKP Mules(4-conductor), CTS 500XL pots, RSGuitarworks .022 caps between V and T pots and .001 orange-drops caps on V controls; the neck Mule has been wired in reverse polarity for the quasi Greeny sound and is easily reversible. I can only say this is a jolly superior Les Paul, though should the new owner wish to restore it to factory spec, all original controls and pickups(Burstbucker2..now called BB Pro, I believe) are included, as is the Gibson USA case. £1350

2003 PRS Custom 24; whale blue, hardtail, Dragon 2 pickups; Vol, Tone and 3-way switching. A few whitened marks on its figured top and buckle rash courtesy of previous brief owner: the nice Mr Manson form Exeter was as pleased as I that it went to my loving embrace. Case included. £1075

Fender Japan '68 Reissue Strat; CIJ model from 1998/99; 4-bolt neck, 2-piece natural ash body and maple neck, lacquer finish. It's had an executive-class upgrade: 250K pots, Wizard Tweed-Tone pickups, Graphtech vintage saddles with graphite inserts. Before its upgrade, the sound had the wiriness of a 1985 Sqiuer and now is impeccable: should the new owner wish its "factory preset", included are original pickups, Fender-stamped vintage saddles and all bits. My, this one I need anaesthetic to remove from me to be honest. Includes scuffed, old-school square Fender USA case. £750..and the only one I cannot budge on price.

Right, having got the text up, I'll attempt the small pic uploads, but the gallery ones are better!

The Gibson Les Paul and the Fender Japan strat are now SOLD, in addition to the Vintage bass.
I am willing to consider suitable trades as regards the PRS Custom 24...though for those little guitars with 6 strings: my bass department is monstered by my Status, ta.

Skezza, I do apologise: I was only checking PMs and haven't looked in for a couple of days.
Yes, you're right: push-pull on tone splits coils.
Man that's some list..I've seen less well-stocked music shops! No thank you, as I'd be back to my usual pattern of not having a house so much as a music-kit storage space.(If you have a Jeff Beck Artist strat under the bed though, I'll get in the car...!)
