[attachment=89596:DSCN4071.JPG]I mailed them about a maple board and they didn,t say anything about doing one .I got a neck off a vintage musoman copy and fitted it to mine.
So they did listen.
The neck is a perfect fit just in case anyone want,s to do it.There is an extra fret and your saddles might not go far enough out to catch the intonation but the bridge I fitted caught it and the scale is now 35" from saddle to nut at the shortest ie furthest out saddle from the bridge.
I like maple necks though

The bass-great bass which punches well above it,s weight.I am not endorsed by them but I really got my eyes opened with this one.
My original intention was to paint it black and fit a black scratchplate with the neck as fitted now but I,m warming to how it looks now so my intention is to build another in black this time so the hunt goes on for another neck ,scratchplate and a black vintage bass then I,ll have 2 necks lying spare.
If Vintage want to build a few and donate one to me to use and evaluate for them I will gladly accept their offer plus I will not have a collection of spare necks in my house.
Roland set up,well spotted sir and very good it is too.Excellent gear, plenty power and very good sound, tone and almost impossible to get a bad sound. It has a very good compressor on it,one of the best, chorus which I never use live but it,s a good one as well.Solid state pre and valve emulation which is excellent. The early gear was built in america and the later stuff in china.American one on the top is heavy but the bottom one has a neo speaker in it and is light in weight with wheels. You have the option of full range with the ext cab or subwoofer mode which would be good for dub or reggae.
