I just bought a set of vintage style Fender rewind tuners for my MIM Jazz neck...what's going to be the best way to align the tuners correctly (making sure they're in the right position) before drilling the screw holes? Grand Wazoo Posted September 15, 2011 Share Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) 1 x straight edge ruler + 1 x pencil is all you need. 1.) Turn the neck upside down 2.) Remove old tuners and instert the new ones leaving them loose 3.) Get a straight edge ruler line up all the tuners across the straight edge 4.) Pencil the top edges of all the tuners and if you can, also mark the holes for the screws with the pencil tip if the holes needed filling / redrilling 5.)
