Here is my transcription of Hiromi's XYZ :) This is transcribed from the studio version, but its very close to the live version. The main bass groove is a real mind-masher to play :)

Ahh excellent!! i'd be very interested to know how your version differs! i had to guesstimate a little with one or two parts so let me know whats different :) ive got alot more hiromi transcriptions in the pipeline (and one or two other bits and bobs) if you're interested!

Wow, awesome work! That tune is a beast — Hiromi’s compositions are always full of rhythmic twists and harmonic surprises, and XYZ is no exception. I can only imagine how intense that main groove must be to lock in, especially with all the syncopation and odd-meter phrasing going on.

Very much so :) Not looked at this one in a very long time but I remember it being a real challenge to keep that groove going (and here's Tony Grey making it look easy...)

Found it! Just an FYI that, reading through it now there are some mistakes in there...I might get around to re-doing it sometime soon (I'm starting to put an online transcription vault together)
