The first time I got this message (yesterday) about my Thunderbird (on eBay), I thought it was genuine and politely responded. However, I've just had a second message from a different identity, but it had the same wording, though a different web link.

The message reads:
Hello,

I am very interested in your item, but I have some doubts, as I have seen another eBay member, selling

the same item as yours. I think he might have stolen your pictures and description. Please take a look

and let me know what's going on.
You can still see the item here ...(web link to a page that asks for your eBay User name & Password)
So watchout!

quite a common one.

Never follow links in emails about ebay, always go direct through the ebay site.

Always be suspicious if an email refers to "dear ebay member" or "your item". If it's from ebay, it will have your name on it, and if it's really about one of your items, it will say "your bass" (or whatever is relevant)

As a general rule I NEVER trust an email from or about ebay, and always go direct through the ebay site.
