Right, after purchase of a half stack this week, my old workhorse of an amp has to go, in order to recoup some of what I've spent.

It's a Laney RBW200. I'd say it's loud for its size, particularly with the kickback feature, as it means the sound is coming right at you. You can also add an extension cab (I think 8 ohm minimum) to whack up the volume some more. I've used it in this format at gigs (thrash metal kinda stuff and it had the volume), or mic'd up on its own. It's also seen me through 2 EP recordings, mic'd and DI'd, and if you want to hear some of the sounds of it I can send you some of the songs we made?

Really not sure on the age, I'm going to try googling the serial number later today and I'll let you know. It was second hand when I bought it (for I think £240-250ish), but think it had only one previous owner.

It still works fine, I've used the thing for 3 years at gigs and band practices (weekly), and the past 2 years just as an in bedroom practice amp. The only thing that doesn't work is the handle, I'm fairly sure the right metal plate has been lost, and the handle was taped up when I got it anyway. This wouldn't be too hard to replace with any amp handle, or just a bit of stiff rubber and a screw! It can also still easily be carried by the lips at the front and back, or just as the whole thing in your arms (somewhere around 25kg I reckon).

Some specs (some nicked from elsewhere):
Some people seem to be confused as to whether it is a 12" or 15" speaker, I confess I thought it was the latter, but not sure now. It also has a 2" tweeter/horn, which can be switched on or off. The large speaker is reported to be Celestion (they are considered to be the canine's testicles when it comes to speakers, if you didn't know the name), but I've never opened the thing up to confirm this.
The controls: Active & Passive Inputs, Gain, Compressor, Bass, Para-mid, Treble, Presence, Limiter, Volume, HF In/Out, DI, FX Loop, Speaker Out, Tuner Out, Unique Dual Position Cabinet, Carpet Covered
Dimensions: 17"D x 19"W x 20"H

Given that the handle needs replacing, but that it's been a workhorse for 5 years plus, without a single technical problem, I will sell it for £115 picked up from central london, or posted for £130, and failing any offers I'll put it on fleabay in a week or so.

Fellow BCer BassBunny described it as a 'crackin little combo' here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1200544

Thanks for looking
Dan

P.S. Not looking to drop the price again, this will go on ebay if it doesn't sell on here, and I don't wanna do that, so jump in and PM me now folks!

Bump for an absolute workhorse of an amp. If you offer high-ish I'll throw in the postage free!
This thing is great for practice on your own or with a band, for gigs and recording, samples will be provided to anyone interested.
I've been told postage can be as low as a tenner! Or of course, pick up is free, and I'll throw in a cup of tea with that!

Hi Ziggy,
I'm based in West Brompton, (SW6 1SJ). Under 100m from the tube so you could carry it there if you didn't have a car. Less than 50m from a bus stop for the 74, 190, 430 etc so very accessible, where would you be coming from?

Thanks
Dan

Sent you a PM, just so you know I saw your response!
