TheRev Posted February 4, 2008 Share Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) The 9V battery clip in one of my piezo pup'd basses was making a lot of crackling noises so I replaced it with a more sturdy version and now the output level has dropped dramatically. All I did was cut the black and red wires from the old clip and solder the wires from the new clip to the cut ends of the old wires, black to black and red to red. Any ideas about what's gone wrong?
