Machine Heads Issue

Well, I've resisted the eBay bug until this week when, out of desperation, I bought some new machine heads for one of my basses. It's an OLP MM2

I've had it years and the machine heads aren't doing their job properly. These new ones I bought were relatively cheap for the reason that I wasn't sure if they'd fit. The only problem is the G string! Because it's 3+1 configuration, none of the supplied new ones fit and its the G that's the worst one!

Any tips people?

Cheers.

How would I go about this?
Unscrew everything you can. You should be able to remove the capstan, pinion and any washers associated with it. The crux is whether the worm gear/button can be removed and reversed.

To save you the bother, I might have a left handed one lying around in spares somewhere. Let me see what I can find. I take it these tuners are standard large sized, open gear types as per the originals?
