mrpink1991 Posted February 4, 2011 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Well, I've resisted the eBay bug until this week when, out of desperation, I bought some new machine heads for one of my basses. It's an [url="http://fr.audiofanzine.com/outils/a.provider,m.29837,mod.media,down.true,th.normal,s.pictures.jpg"]OLP MM2[/url] I've had it years and the machine heads aren't doing their job properly. These new ones I bought were relatively cheap for the reason that I wasn't sure if they'd fit. The only problem is the G string! How would I go about this?[/quote] Unscrew everything you can. You should be able to remove the capstan, pinion and any washers associated with it. The crux is whether the worm gear/button can be removed and reversed. To save you the bother, I might have a left handed one lying around in spares somewhere. Let me see what I can find.
