garethfriend Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) Well since getting the sterling this isn't getting played much and two days into the month I have pretty much run out of money so sacrifices must be made. It has had a set of new DR Nickel Lo Rider strings fitted about a week ago and had a professional fretjob and setup done a few months back which has made it just about the most comfortable bass to play I've ever come across in any price range. I had the pickup and control cavities screened at the same time so it is also pretty much silent eve when doing silly thngs with the eq at high volumes. Cosmetically it's pretty much as new and looks brilliant in the flesh (wood?). Sound is very bassy and thumpy, sounded brilliant through my ashdown and ampeg rigs but I now have an orange and I've never really gotten on with the sound of it through this amp (compared to the sterling anyway) hence the sale.
