Hey guys and girls,

So... I've recently bought an Aria TAB66 (my first ever bass-related impulse buy) and although it sounds and looks lovely I just don't think it's the one for me... It's just not my ideal 'transition' to four strings, as much as I'd like it to be, as it looks and sounds lovely.

It's in perfect condition and has a great variety of tones, from a huge, thick, bassy, woody tone with the neck pup soloed, to a growly, midrange-heavy snarl with the bridge soloed. It's got a very fast neck, but with my huge hands and penchant for 5 strings it just feels a little cramped for me. I've now bought it's replacement (WeirdWar's old jap P bass) which has a neck like a baseball bat, much more to my liking!

I don't think I'm looking to trade for a bass now, definitely interested in trades/part exchange for a valve amp of some kind (ideally trace elliot V or *valve series) and would potentially be willing put some cash your way, but would most of all like at least some of the money I spent on it back. I bought it brand new about 2 months ago and it's never been gigged. In fact, it's only been played in my bedroom!

I'm now after around £320, but feel free to make me an offer... She's just sitting in the corner of my room all sad in her gigbag.

So I've had a quick look online and there's quite a variation in price from £379 up to £439 (here http://www.guitarandampshop.co.uk/acatalog...ustic_Bass.html and here http://www.reidys.com/index.pl?submit=View...riceComparison) so have reduced my asking price accordingly.

Bump! I've slept on it (not the bass) and decided that this is no longer a feeler. Make me an offer!

Also, you're more than welcome to come to either Tooting Broadway or Hunsdon, Herts to try this out. Tooting is where I spend most of time.

Cheers,

Tom

Haha, fair enough. Thing is, it's essentially new. I bought it about a month ago and it's never been gigged and hardly been played... Also comes with a gig bag (cheap and nasty stagg thing, if that helps to convince anyone).

What would you say is a more reasonable price to expect/ask for?
