1. 410 and 210 - More speakers, more volume, a little more low end, and it's perfect to put in the rehearsal room (and the 210 at home), and other occasions. When I need all the power (300w), a wall 6x10 is perfect. Unfortunately, only my MAG 210 don't have enough power for a VEEEEEEEERY loud band. I try to solve this problem, but the drummer is too loud and the place isn't favorable.
2. Really? I think that was the inverse, because I saw ABM 410H more cheaper than ABM 410T, but the shop that is selling the ABM, it's T. T - Tweeter, H - Horn. And I think that ABM 410H is made in China too. (all new!)
3. Well, I don't slap very much. I have used one time a hartke 410, the volume was perfect, but I don't like the sound with the hartke, so I think ABM 410. Very people says that it's a very good cab, plenty of volume, not muddy, with good low end too, everything. I think that the 410 it's the better option. 2 210 maybe were good, but 410 + 210 ashdown will be perfect, I think.
4. Hi, I have a Ashdown MAG 300 and a MAG 210, and I need a 410. I love Ashdown, and I saw in a portuguese shop selling the Ashdown ABM for 450 euros, including a good speaker cable Klotz (with a jack macho neutrik). All new! It's a good price, I think, and if I have problems, it's all easy, because I live near. I know that are some good prices of this cab for sale in UK, but they don't send to Portugal and the shipping is too expensive and don't have any guaranty. In Portugal, I don't saw any ABM's cabs used ... (and the ones that were for sale, was for 350/370) Is this the best option? What do you think about this cab? T is tweeter and H is horn right? What's best? Best regards, Davide Leira
5. I have search for Ashdown head + Markbass cab, if anyone have, but nothing. Ashdown MAG 300 + Markbass STD 104HF + Ashdown MAG 210, it will sound like what?... Ps: Is this an old one (one of the firsts) or a special edition?
6. Well, I will try to buy it, if the seller can send to Portugal. If he don't, I will think about an Ashdown MAG 410 or a Hartke VX 410 or 410 TP... Thank you guys!
7. Yes, I could sell, but ... What's the best choice? Yes, the MB is a bargain, but isn't something better?
8. Hi. I have an Ashdown MAG 300 and an Ashdown MAG 210 cab, and I'm looking for a 4x10. I have 200/250eur to spend. I was thinking in the Ashdown MAG 410, but yesterday I saw an used Markbass STD 104 for 250euros! I never played markbass stuff, and that cab is on Italy... I have seen that Markbass is transparent, and the Ashdown warm, with a different "voice". I love the Ashdown's sound, but it seems not as loud that i would expect, or it's because i'm using only a 2x10... What do you think people? What's the best choice in this price range?
9. That's right. I will try to test, if I don't, I will buy another 2x10
10.
Having different sized drivers means that they move the air differently from one another. This can cause certain frequencies to be affected as soundwaves hit one another, it can have both positive & negative effects on the sound. Having all equal drivers in a vertical array moves the air more evenly & has a good horizontal spread. There's plenty of info within this forum section & BFM, Alex Claber, etc would give a better insight into this.
I have used the search in this forum section but I don't saw info of 2 2x10s ... and who talks about it, don't say very much about it. Maybe the best option is 2 2x10s, but I will try to test them.
11.
My choice would be 2 2x10s stacked vertically on their ends. It would get the most from what you have, be easier for you to hear what you're playing & give an even dispertion to the audience. However, I would explore how the other options sound first.
How it sounds, the 2 2x10s for you? Well, I said that i love punch and plenty volume (and good low end, and my 2x10 has a good low end for me), so ... the best choise is 2 2x10 because the 10' speakers give me punch and 2 2x10 moves more air vertically, so it has the impression that it's louder than 2x10 + 1x15 or 2x10 + 1x12, right?
12. AndyMartin: If I add a 15 it will be Ashdown. I think that my 2x10 does the work, with the sound that I like, I only want all the volume of the head because I need it. Well, I'm from Portugal. Lozz196: Ajust the EQ it's not a problem. 2 2x10 maybe it's the best choise. JTUK: 2 2x10 will sound like a false 4x10? or will sound like my 2x10 but with more volume and punch or what? Thank you all for your responses.
13. Hi. I've got a rig Ashdown (MAG 300 + 210) and I want to buy another cab, because I need the 300w of the amp and to leave one cab in my house, and the other in the rehearsal room, but sometimes I will put the two in the rehearsal room and gigs. I didn't test anything, but soon I will test the 2 210 and the 210 + 115. I love punch and plenty volume, so I think in the 2 210 (my 210 has a great low end, but isn't compare to a 115 i think, but its good for me) but I want good low end, so I think in the 210 + 115 because I think they complete each other. but I don't want a muddy sound or very highs. The 210 + 112 (maybe a GK or Eden?) is an other option that I never ear (I dont have chances to test) but I saw good reviews. I didn't bought a 410 because it's too heavey and I can't transport it. I play rock, hard rock, grunge (metal no!). My band plays a little high... Sorry, my english isn't the best. Best regards
14. Hi. What tipe of pickguards can be used to a Squier P-bass? Some people say that Fender USA or Mex or Precision Bass Pickguards don't are for Squier, only doing changes on the pickguard, and I don't want to make any changes. I want a pickguard Black Pearloid, and I see this in ebay: http://cgi.ebay.de/BLACK-PEARLOID-P-BASS-P...=item4cf04b842f and http://cgi.ebay.de/Fender-USA-MEX-PRECISIO...=item4cf1850917 Anyone knows something about this? Regards.
15. Thanks. I'm thinking to buy in musifex.pt . I wondered the price and i'm waiting for a reply. Getting a 15" cab on ebay for portugal it's not so easy
16. Thank you for the opinion (: I'm going to the Ashdown. Well, anyone does see a online store with the Ashdown at a good price? And what extra cab that you recomend for the Ashdown MAG C115-300 Evo II? 2x10 or 1x15 or something else? An Ashdown or other? I don't want to speed very much less possible, and with quality ...
17. Thank you King Tut, but i think i'm going to a Ashdown because it has everything i need and it has very much power, and i could get a extra cab for bigger gigs. I always use DI but i want something with very power to handle everything that never goes more than 5/6 level in the volume. Heavy or big it's not a problem for me. Ps: What cab do you people think that it's better to use with the ashdown? 2x10 or 1x15 or something else? An Ashdown or other? I don't want to speed very much less possible, and with quality ...
18. Hi. Oh, i haven't see that! It has everything that i need! Thank you. I'll see where is less expensive to buy ... Cumps
19. I'm going to test the Roland, but i'm now thinking in the Ashdown. Maybe i will go to the Ashdown because it could deliver 307w with a extra cab, and without cab delivers 180w and it's much more than the Roland. I wish that Ashdown have a Octave Bass But no problem. Thanks
20. Well, Hartke it's a bit expensive .. on less, the A100 or Kickback 12/15. I like more a warm sound, and i think that hartke don't have too very much a warm, flat sound.
