I've owned this from new, it's in excellent condition and has never been gigged.

I bought it as a lightweight,easy to play fretless. It's passive and has P/J pickups. Nice lined neck, good action, broad range of sounds and it has a good set of flats on it. I now use a hand made Everson fretless so it needs to go to someone who will use it.

Happy to meet up or deliver within a reasonable distance (I'm near Stafford) or I can ship it.. No trades thanks.

Try Fretwraps. Very, very easy to adjust the amount of mute and just push it over the nut when you don't need it. Leaves plenty of room to fret at the first.

Have you tried Fretwraps? They wrap around at the nut leaving enough to room to fret properly at the first fret. They can be tightened or loosened to vary the amount of muting and slid over the nut for songs which don't need it. More pricey, but that's because they work.

Fab live album, one of the best. Bass is so solid and huge it has its own gravitational field. Anyone who doesn't know about Badu ought to check out Pino's playing on Mama's Gun too.

I was lucky enough to be there and it sounded great in the hall, apart from guitar solos. You could have heard a pin drop while Annie Lennox and Gary Oldman were speaking. Cut Lorde some slack, not the easiest gig to carry off.

Let me clarify, I have no intention of getting rid of the ACG, it's very, very, very good. It's easily one of the best basses I've ever bought. But if I'd ever commissioned a build I'd want it to fill me with joy every time I looked at it. If anything I'm urging caution and attempting to try other people's ACG's before you jump.

I bought a Finn double cutaway 0117 on here a month or so ago. I'd been interested in the ACG hype but had never been able to try one. Personally I couldn't trust myself to make the leap of faith to commission a build before even laying hands on one. It's very well put together and feels quality, but for me the big thing is the sound. Mine has a two band East preamp and the purity and evenness of tone up and down the neck is noteworthy. Playability is very good but, then again, so are so many basses nowadays. That aspect didn't wow me but I'm still tweaking the setup.
Similarly I bought an Everson fretless to see what the fuss was about. Luckily Basschatter Joethebell is local to me so I was able to try it. Within 10 seconds I knew I had to have it and it's still the most thrilling bass I've ever owned. I didn't get that from the ACG but that's not to say others wouldn't. It's a mighty fine instrument though, however you look at it.

There is no perfect bass = there will be no perfect sex robot. EMG will always create an upgrade and we'll endlessly discuss its merits. There'll be tried and tested mass market sex robots and small niche builders who'll build sex robots to your exact spec for a price.

Really sorry, but no. I'm trying to generate funds to order a bass from Paul Everson.

I've been asked why I'm selling it. Mainly because I've got a Roadworn Jazz and American Special Precision and they've reignited my love of passive basses. However having played the Lakky last night I'm struck by just how flexible it is and I'm very tempted to withdraw it.

It would best suit a bassist in a covers band who needs to cover a lot of different tones quickly. And that's not me at the moment. Just set your amp for the venue and the onboard preamp will do the rest.

Tweaked the action and played this for an hour or so last night and started to doubt my sanity for putting it up for sale. It has fantastic tone and playability.

Reluctantly it's time to part with my lovely Lakland Jazz in Lake Placid Blue.

This has been my main bass for a number of years and has a real 'Swiss army knife' range of tones with the factory fitted 3 band East retro preamp with its parametric mid. There's nothing it can't do, apart from improve my dodgy technique.

It has a small dink on the headstock and two very small screw holes where a previous Basschatter fitted a Roland pickup. There's a tiny scratch on the back where some idiot (me) once said yes, of course you can try my bass. It can only be seen in a certain light. Other than that it's in fantastic condition.

In May it went on a £80 holiday to Jaydee in Birmingham and came back beautifully set up and restrung.

It's a 34" scale and weighs about 9lb on my crap bathroom scales. It comes with the original Lakland soft bag. I'm happy to ship but will also meet up if you're not too far away from me in Stafford. No trades sorry.

Sat 21st Was going to list it on EBay last weekend but ended up being away. Quick reduction to £575 shipped before I list it.
