That's a clip I made just after getting the Doom. I've gotten nicer tones out of them since and I've done some recording that hasn't been mixed yet.

I'm using the pair on an interesting track for the bass line with an electric according on higher range synth duties.

I got a reply from Max. He already has plenty of white ones ready for enclosures so he'd have to get it custom made. £12 for one if you guys are interested?

Scan or photograph the label, invert it in an image editor and print it on a suitable adhesive paper or plastic.

It had been annoying me but guys, that is a brilliant idea. I'll have to look into this!

    Two minutes in MS Paint....

    The answer is yes.

  4. Hi guys, here's a Fender Mark Hoppus Precision bass neck for sale. This is from a 2011 Mark Hoppus P (made in Mexico) and as such has a 70s Fender "TV" logo on the headstock and has the truss rod access at the heel of the neck like a US Fender. Modern C shape, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. Standard P bass specs (20 frets, 34 inch scale length).

Overall in pretty good condition, saw about a year's worth of intermittent playing before swapped out for a neck with a maple board. The truss rod works as it should and there's no issues with neck. It has a small ding on the edge of the fingerboard just past the third fret on the bass side but it's not noticeable while playing. I'll also throw in a Fender F stamp neckplate and some bolts. Pics below:

I received this pedal around December after being on a waiting list for quite some time. It's an incredible pedal with two synth voices (uni and octave down) which both have three different wave forms. It also has a clean blend and an OC2 style octave with a timbre control. All of these different voices can be mixed how you like.

More info can be found here: http://ironether.com...ls/subterranea/

All of my projects and work for the past six months haven't required much in the way of effects. I've used this a total of three times at home and with a holiday in Nashville on the horizon I could really do with the money right now. I loathe to say this usually but this pedal is literally in mint condition and considering that Iron Ether aren't currently taking any new orders I think someone here could be in for a tidy pedal for a reasonable price :)

No changes here except the underside LEDs in the picture above are now gone. The longer they were present the more I felt they were garish and on some dark stages they made it more difficult to see my settings.

I somehow associate it with the sort of Motown old school sound. Never saw a metal bassplayer using Aguilar for instance...

    :)

  8. I've read that those flat-head plugs don't work with every pedal because the tips on them are a little longer than standard so it doesn't make the TRS connection properly. Supposedly on Catalinbread pedals this is an issue.

  9. George Ls are good but they are indeed fiddly. You need to make sure you get the connection bang on first time and check the connection with a multimeter and amp before plugging them in. If it makes a connection only when the cable is held at a certain angle then it is going to cut out sometime at a gig.

The other day I moved the order of my pedals about and once I started playing I could hear a crackle. Turned out one of the patch leads was actually on the verge of cutting out from the vibrations of my amp. Checked the connections and it's working fine now.

If it wasn't for those tiny plugs and the ability to cut them to length I'd move to soldered cables.

  10. Nice SG!

I'm not a big fan of Gibson basses but I do love a good SG, V or Explorer :)

Here's my contribution, albeit it a six string piccolo bass tuned like a guitar...

  11. My favourite fuzz pedals are the 3Leaf You're Doom and the Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian.

The 3Leaf is on the bass board. The TFR is going to be on my guitar board when I put it together. It can be smooth or grungy as holy hell on guitar and I <3 it.

All my dealings with them have been nothing short of perfect.

However, I did feel a little self-conscious when I went into the Newcastle branch recently to try the Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and there was ZERO background music and as soon as I started playing, I was VERY aware that the staff and customers who were about were all listening in.

Slightly awkward but a minor niggle IMO and only my view. Others might like that kind of atmosphere!

That can definitely be a positive or a negative. I dunno if that's better than trying to hear yourself over teenagers playing sloppy metal riffs through cranked amps....
