1.
I would avoid a kick drum mic (too heavily eq'ed to suck the mids out).
+1 However, could I suggest the Audio-Technica ATM-250? It's very different from the usual kick-drum mics and should be close to your budget too. I have the one with the 2 elements (ATM-250DE) and I think that it sounds great...

 8. Hi, I'm selling my SWR Goliath Jr III 2x10. This is the 4 Ohm model, 350 watts RMS. It's the version with the black-grey grill (not the chrome one). I've had it for about 4 years. As far as I know I'm the 2nd owner. It's in great condition. It's been gigged, but not very often. Mostly sitting indoors. I'm selling because I need to raise funds for a 4x10 8Ohm cab that will suit my rig better. How's £[s]230 [/s]200? Open to offers and exchanges. Can be collected from London (N9) or I can drive a few miles or I can arrange for a courier if necessary. 9. @pantherairsoft: Yes, I put it on Ebay just in case there were any lazy MO BASS owners without a controller. No luck though :-( @daz: I guess I could share some info with a fellow DIYer. Have you got any specific questions?
 10. Hi All I have recently made a controller for my SWR MO Bass Head, as it is impossible to find an original one... So, I thought of sharing some photos with you. Drop me a message if you'd like to find out more details about it and feel free to leave some feedback. For more photos please go to www.myspace.com/antonismbass Cheers, Antonis P.S. I've probably previously posted it on a different category but I'm sure that this is the right one
 11. well, it's definitely the old Drome chassis but I believe that it's the new Neo speaker that was installed. thanks for checking...

 14. Just to clarify that this is the SWR 350 (pre-Fender) model, not the 350x as stated above, but I'm not really sure how to/if I can edit the title/text.
