2. Yeah I have heard that, it's something to do with bypassing the resistor that steps down the voltage but I really have no idea how it works thanks though!
3. Hi all, Moving up to Guildford to start at ACM so gotta sell some of the pedals off. Digitech Whammy XP100: I bought this off a fellow BC'er as not working, but when I powered it up it seemed to function fine. The only problem was the switches were slightly unresponsive so I put some little rubber shims on them and now they work reliably. Also will be including an HPRO power supply for this pedal! Looking for £80 + postage. Vox 1905 Chorus: Really interesting old chorus pedal, not many of them around now. If you crank the settings right up you get a really extreme chorus effect, useful for kind of underwatery sounds. This has been fixed by me; some of the capacitors went bad so I replaced them and now it works fine. It's an 18v pedal so unless you have an 18v power supply you will need 2 9V batteries! I would also point out that it's really much better suited to guitar than bass, I think maybe with some tweaking if you know what you're doing you could replace some caps to get it to sound acceptable with bass but otherwise really it's a guitar only pedal. Really good cosmetic nick too! £50 + postage. EHX Sovtek Smallstone: One of the old Russian-made pedals made after EHX's period of insolvency. This was also a non runner when I got it, but as with many of the old EHX pedals there were a few dry solder joints so resoldered those and functions perfeclty now. It's also built like a tank so it's unlikely to get broken again! Fairly good condition for it's age, I'm asking £45 + postage. Boss Bass Chorus CE-2B: One of the best chorus pedals for bass I've ever heard, and I know I'm going to regret selling it in the future but I just don't have a use for it at the moment and need the money. It's the 80's brown made in Japan model, great sound, and overall very good condition (a few nicks here and there, but show me a 25yo Boss pedal that doesn't have some!) Perfect function, but please be aware that these require the old 12V ACA adaptors Boss made in the 80s. It works perfectly via 9v battery; alternatively if you like I can modify it to accept standard 9V Boss power supplies so please let me know. I'm asking £60 + postage. I am open to offers on all these pedals; I need to sell them before I move on the 31st so if they don't sell fairly quickly I will be listing them on eBay! I will also thoroughly test all of them before I send them so please don't worry about them not working! I'm not out to rip anybody off and if they don't work when you get them I'll be happy to refund you. If anyone wants any photos of any pedal please don't hesitate to ask and I'll put some up. Cheers!
4. I meant mint condition as in cosmetically mint (sorry should have been clearer) but will update the post to include the fact the pedal's been repaired.
5. It is indeed! Basically there were 2 SMD resistors that had cracked somehow so no power was getting anywhere. Once those were replaced it worked perfectly
6. Hi all, Selling my MXR M-188 auto Q pedal. Cracking sound, just can't really find a use for it! In absolutely mint cosmetic condition, however the pedal has been repaired but now functions perfectly. In original box, with manual. £60 + postage. Cheers
7. Bump before I stick these on the 'bay.
8. Hi all, Boss Bass Flanger BF-2B. It's a cracking pedal but doesn't really suit my sound. It's the 80's model with the green label, made in Japan. Cosmetically I'd say it's in good condition, there are a few dings etc. on the pedal but its not too bad and nothing that would put you off it! £60 incl. postage. I also have an old Sovtek EHX Smallstone phaser but am not really convinced I want to let it go...if anyone wants it make me an offer! Thanks
