actually my attitude came from the idea of someone asking a lot of questions while having no interest in purchasing the bass.
Im quite happy to answer any questions that people may have if theyr interested in purchasing, and Im usually very easy to deal with, however, I just felt my time was being wasted. Apologies if i've been taken the wrong way.
Anyway, hope to hear from anyone that may be interested, and apologise for any offence caused previously.
Cheers guys -
Beautiful - my dream bass but I'd need to get rid of a Warwick Streamer LX and that's probably not on! Best of luck fellow Glaswegian!

This post was for the info of Tom1946, who may be interested, I dont know.
I am not interested no, I have a Std Jazz already but as I said in my PM to you, best of luck with the sale.
dude no offence, but if your not interested, dont post. its not an opinion forum, its for buyers and sellers only, and your basically wasting peoples time. -
Could be NOS, but it is a 2006 model.
↲Dude, are u interested in the bass or what?
The serial number suggests it is a 2006 model, so it was 3 years old when you bought it?
no dude, as it says on the Fender site, some numbers carry on from year to year. I bought it from Sound Control in Glasgow 2009.
Its in perfect condition and only been played a couple o times in the studio. -
Did you buy it new? Low action?
yep, bought it new. lovely low action -
Very nice indeed.
Pity your not trading as I have a mint Corvette $$ 4 string that I am looking to out.
Looks like a very good price too. This should not hang about long.
sorry dude, no trades. If u get rid o urs 4 the same cash tho, let me knw n we cn work somethin out. -
Hi peeps,
Exactly as it says, US Fender Jazz with S-1 switch and a maple neck for sale. (Based in Glasgow)
I bought this in January 2009 but bought a Warwick Streamer Stage II straight after and its only actually been in the studio twice. I dont want it sitting gathering dust when someone else could be appreciating it.
anyway, it comes with the case and instruction page on how to get the best outta the switch.
looking for 600GBP on this, it is in untouched condition basically. no marks, dings or scratches at all.
pics attached, let me know of any questions
NO TRADES -
Hey man,
Im just about to sell my US Fender Jazz, so if I can get rid of it pretty quick for around 750-800 then i'll be making an offer on this definetly!
Keep me posted on status
Cheers
Hi,
I got hold of this as a bit of an experiment but I've decided that there are more suitable basses for me out there and it's too nice toi just sit there.
It's a Warwick 2003 Limited Edition Thumb BO otherwise known as the 'Bleached Blonde'.
It's in excellent condition and comes with a Warwick Deluxe soft gigbag and the original customer pack (incl. tools, manual -but no beeswax).
I can only see a couple of very minor marks on it.
It really is a beautiful looking bass with custom neck inlays and it is a light bass. The complete spec can be found here;
ok, right, i here ya! tell me more about 'switchability' - what options do you get - I see they're 'split coil soap bars'. But essentially, as I read it, this is a Korean built, US finished bass. Seems they ask top $$ for it.
Being honest man, you couldnt ask for more for the cash.
3 band EQ, bass/mid/treble, push-pull switch, perfect balance, great sound. It done me well for the few times it was in the studio, but I dont need it. I'd rather see someone pay 600 than 800 for it and know that its gettin used.
Theres a lot o stuff about it on the Lakland site, plus if you google reviews on it, you'll see people aint left disappointed.
cheers -
that is such a good price for this strung tho' body gtr.. If only I could sell my granny I'd be there man. But right now I'm on an economy drive.
dont you just love posts like this 'i love your gtr, but I cant afford it' what a waste of time,..
so go on, tempt me - I had a G&L L2500 USA which I bitterly regret getting rid off - how would you say this compares? the G&L had 2 $$buckers, active passive switching, single/double pole selection, plus 3 (if not four) way pre-amp.
C'mon, give me the hard sell!
to be honest mate, if you're lookin at a Lakland, you know exactly what you're getting.
Superb tone, sustain, response, everything about it is top notch. Only reason I'm gettin rid of it, is that I have no use for a 5 string. Amazing bass though. G+L are good, but for sheer tone and playability they just dont compare (*I say that having tried one while shopping for this). Its a different level, honestly.
As I say though, You know what you're looking at when you seen this ad. A Lakland is made to the highest standard. It feels, looks and plays the way it should.......and a little more........................But then, its upto you.......................... -

I might have to be making an offer on this once iv sold the Lakland
-
sorry man, god offer, but I dont play fretless and im lookin for 4 strings really

i live in Glasgow and would be willing to travel.
please let me know. looks amazing! -
Lakland Skyline 55-01 - price drop! (again!)
Hi Guys n Lasses,
I bought this just at the tail end of November for just over 800 pounds, but have absolutely no use for a 5 string anymore and dont want to see it go to waste, as its a great bass for great players.
Spec wise, its fantastic: Natural Colour, Bartolini Mk-1 soapbar pickups, Fishman/Bartolini active pre-amp + Circuitry, Hipshot Tuners,
Was only played a handful of times in the studio for a project that is now finished so hoping someone is looking for 1, or even for a good trade (Warwick, Spector, Musicman, etc) for a 4 string.
Im based in Glasgow, but could use a courier if you like it and want it sent that bit further.
Anyway, its in perfect condition, comes with the black Lakland padded gig bag, and Im throwing in a set of Ernie Ball replacements incase you dont like the Lakland own brand strings.
I've added photos from the site but if you want to send me an email, i'll include photos of the 1 i have. (its the exact same, no scratches, dents, dings, or anythin).
Cheers
Mark
Edit: sorry peeps, If its going straight sale, I would be hoping 600 firm cash. Its basically brand new so I wont cut my own throat to sell it, or go any lower than that.
Dude, no offence, but if you're trying to sell something, being a total douche isn't going to help.
I was actually VERY interested in this and I'm glad I read the posts before making a decision because your overly defensive attitude actually makes me doubt that you bought this new.
Why would you get so snappy if you didn't have something to hide? The other poster was just trying to work out when you bought the bass because your description and "details" are very vague.
Your bad attitude towards another BC member who was simply trying to find out important information on behalf of anyone who might be interested has totally turned me away from showing any interest in this and my money will be staying safely with me.
This bass was bought new from Sound Control in Glasgow, in January of 2009.
