2. I bought Andy's Musicman Stingray few days ago. He packed it perfectly, shipped asap and had no problem with shipping to Europe. I have to mention fast and smooth communication. Thanks a lot and greetz from Czech republic,

    David

  3. I've just bought Aria (Ric 4001 style) bass from Ash. What a nice deal with him. We had some complications with courier I arranged, but Ash was very professional and bass was finally delivered without problem.

Ash, thanks a lot again, it was pleasure to deal with you.

  4.
Okay, no worries.

If it helps any this guy paid £300 for his in 2004 and this one went unsold on talkbass last year at $495 which is £309.

Good luck with the trades and if you want to sell let me know, looks a lovely instrument and just something I might be after! Only thing I could trade at the mo is a 5 string Fretless Gary Willis Ibanez.
I was the one who bought that identical one on Talkbass. One of the nicest JB I've ever played, I love 60' pickup spacing, alder and rosewood. Lot of "mojo", comparable with MIJ Fenders without any problem, for much better price. I changed original pickups to SD SJB-1, which was a great upgrade, imo.

I sold her to fund some other stuff, but missed her so much I had to bought AV62 jazz, which has the same character.
    Here is gallery of mine:

  5. I've had a great experience with Neil. Totally smooth transaction, Neil was very informative and gave a lot of attention to write me every detail about the old Fresher JB he sold me. Fast shipping, great and nice communication. Thanks a lot again.

  6. I use Classic 450 with pair of Mesa PH112 and it is just superb. VERY loud, very good match(sound and colour-wise, too, see pic :) ).

If you don't need parametric EQ, tuner and presets, go with Classic. It has the same voicing and is very "plug and play" for me, I don't have to ask those "what if.." questions about parametric eq etc.. Presets can be very sweet, but I'm used to set one nice sound at the beginning and just go with that(that's why I switched from active to passive basses). I have some home-recordings of the head with my JB(unfortunately with very old strings) so I can post it if you would be interested.

  7.
£790 + shipping

Thats insane for fully profesional instrument....
£790?? Every Sterling I can see here on BC has price around £1000, so I don`t understand how`s possible this one is still here.

Free bumb for great seller and fellow BCer from Czech Republic.

  8. Bump for a great bass, I have the same model (much more reliced) and maybe some pictures of my bass I've posted could be useful. They're here. Don't hesitate to buy, it is the best JB I've played.

By the way, is there some difference after changing to CTS pots? Thanks.

  9. I bought this one few weeks ago, and I think it could be the ONE(until next gas attack :) )

It is made in 1997 in US, they haven't called them American Vintage those day. Just RI.

It was obviously played quite often, it is kinda roadworned. But in very nice way, just the state when you're not afraid of next dings and can call it player's bass. I don't feel comfortable when playing on mint basses, so this one is right for me.

I play in southern rock/blues/RnR band and it fits there so perfect. One of the best basses I owned, that classic alder jazzbass tone makes me smile every time I hit the string. Perfect Jaco tone on the bridge pickup. I've owned many basses before, US Fenders, US Laklands, Spectors, Musicmans.. and this simple JB interface is something special. You can concentrate only to your playing, there's no EQ so you have to shape your tone with your fingers. I don't say I don't like active circuits(I've had many of them before), but that passive tone is so magical and juicy.

Compared to US 75RI I had, 62 is more polite sounding, fuller and less aggressive. IMO, 75 jazzbass is more for soloing, slap and funk music, 62 has better vintage vibe, it has not that Miller's modern JB sound, but works better in a mix. I felt strange in a band when playing on 75, bass was placed just too much over other instruments. Don't know if it is more due to 70' pickup position or body wood, but that is what I feel. 75 is great instrument, but not for my needs at the moment.

Did I mention, that stacked knob control plate looks really cool?

  10. I've bought EBS HD350 head from Don.

It was super-smooth deal. I've asked few questions, payed with Paypal and Don shipped the head ASAP.

Head was shipped on Friday and was delivered today- Monday. Not bad! Only one weekend from Belgium to Czech Republic, God bless EU :)

Don is overall great person to deal with, gentleman and is responding very fast and patient. I would recommend him to everyone.

And yes, I've nearly forgot- EBS sounds and looks superb, everything is exactly as described.

    Thanks a lot.

  11.
The EBS HD350 head i had for sale has just been sold to "Davidak" from here on the forum, so you can check with him for refference!
Yes, I've bought HD350 from Don, really great man to deal with, I'm awaiting it to be delivered tomorrow. Nice communication and super fast service. Gentleman.

  12. Just curious- did you know, that the copper strip is only thing of design? Only those early models had it because of function, after that, luthiers found better technology how to drill holes in the bass and ground the bridge "under the surface" :) Sorry for little OT.

  13. I'm offering this superb head. It is from 2005, which is long time before those 2007/2008 Eden's quality problems, before moving to China. WT-405 is now discontinued.

Here is a link for some specifictions:
    http://www.bassmerchant.com/item_detail.ph...p;category_id=2

Runs stable at 2 ohms (620w), 405w into 4 ohms. It's very powerful.

I strongly preferred this one over WT-400 and WT-550. It has additional features like Warm button, mute, pre-post DI, speaker switch, much more user friendly eq, adjustable DBX compressor.. In fact, this head has everything you'll ever need and expect from professional and reliable bass amp, in a small package and lightweight.

Great condition, I'll include rack ears and brand new Eden shoulder bag.

470£+ shipping costs from Czech Republic(about 30£ to UK). Check my feedback and buy with confidence.

  14. I've personally played this fretless as long as Kurca is my friend from Czech Republic. It has great "miau miau" fretless ton as I would expect from much more expensive bass.

    Free bump now!
