1. I'll do this for £1000, which after research I think is realistic compared to my first estimation.
2. Someone make me an offer? It's my birthday and I'm in a good mood.
3. That is probably more likely than mahogany due to the 'exotic' part of the name, thanks.
4. I've not been able to find very much information on this bass as it doesn't appear to be in production any longer. It could be a custom order. From what I can tell specs are: 5 piece neck (mahogany and maple?) Ebony fretboard Mahogany body? MEC Active 6 string pickups It comes with a generic hard case. It's missing the top part of one of the EQ knobs but this should be easy to get hold of. Also has a ding in the back of the neck. 5. Lowered the price on the looper and deleted some stuff that's no longer for sale.
6. For sale is my Engl Screamer 50 combo. At the moment it will not power on and I'm clueless as to why, but I've not taken it to a tech or even really looked at it. It was working perfect and then one day I left it on standby to warm up and when I switched the amp on to play there was a very loud bang and it hasn't powered up since. I am told that it is probably just a valve that has gone so it should be a cheap fix, but I really am clueless and you're buying with the knowledge that it could be a cheap fix or it could be something more serious that is costly; therefore I accept no returns. Cosmetic condition is good with just a few scrapes and nicks to the tolex. I'm looking for £350 posted and in that price I'm also including the Engl Z-5 footswitch which costs £159 new at Gak. If its a cheap fix then this could be a serious bargain as the new price on both comes to around £1000.
7. Very sorry about that, I must have missed your PM and I've not been checking the thread because I'm supposed to just get emails for it and I've had none. The splatter fuzz sold almost immediately and looking at the time/date it was before your PM, but I apologise for keeping you hanging there.
8. The fuzz is quite a harsh sounding one rather than a smooth muff type. I think if my memory is right then one dial is for volume, one for amount of fuzz and then the other is like a feedback circuit for funny noises that's activated by pressing the other footswitch and the dial controls the pitch. Sometimes I could get it to make the funny noises and others I couldn't. It seemed to depend on where you had the other dials set and how loud the volume was. I didn't really know what I was doing to be honest so its just sat unused. The looper is true bypass. You put a chain of effects that you'd normally have in front of your amp in one side, and in the other the effects you'd normally have in the fx loop. You can then switch either or both loops on and off with the switches. If you want no effects in front of your amp then I think there is a way to use it to cut the front of amp signal completely so that there's no volume when the switch is activated, but that's not what I used it for. In front of my amp I had an Ibanez TS9, a volume pedal and the Boss tuner; none of which are true bypass so I just used to keep the TS9 on all the time but use the looper to cut the signal to it so my guitar was effectively plugged straight in to the front of the amp. Then in my FX loop I had my modulation effects, so if I was on a section of a song with no effects whatsoever I'd have both loops off but I'd activate the 3 or 4 effects I needed for the next section of the song. When the section came around I'd stomp on both switches at the same time so that all 4 effects came on instantaneously, rather than having to tap dance and get 4 effects staggered across 3 seconds. It just made things a lot more simple to be able to turn effects on at my leisure in an effectless part of a song and not be able to hear them, then have them all come on at the same time. For me the balance was perfect on the front of amp loop but when activating the fx loop switch there was a very small dip in volume. I think this depends on the amp and the effects that you're using in there though. I spoke to the guy who made this for me and he said it was unavoidable with it being true bypass. The effects you put in there are sucking the tone a bit, and then when you completely take them out you get sent back to the pure tone and often its slightly louder. I played loads of gigs with it and never noticed live so its not huge.
9. Having a bit of an FX clear out because I just got an Axe Fx 2. These pedals are all great and I'll miss them but the whole idea of buying the Axe was to simplify my set up and so I can't be a hypocrite and keep both set ups. I may also have a Deluxe Memory Man for sale but only at the right price as I love it. Electro Harmonix Metal Muff - £40 Electro Harmonix Big Muff - £35 Comes with power supply. Boss TU-2 Tuner - £40 Excellent condition. Comes boxed. Nocaster True Bypass Looper - £50 This basically lets you switch your FX Loop on and off with one button and the effects connected to the front of the amp with the other. I used it live with my band so that I could do things like switch my delay, chorus and overdrive on/off all at once with just one stomp. All writing is pencil and can be erased.
10. Also, I can't really tell from the pictures but this is possible to sit right under isn't it? As in your legs will pull fully under it? There are no support bars in the way etc? The problem I have with the desk I have at the moment is my legs won't go under it so I have to lean over and strain my back.
11. I'm sure someone will buy it from you anyway, but sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers any more so you should have no worries there.
12. Yeah, the postage is annoying. Quite a lot didn't sell on ebay and I suspect it's because postage was double the price of the actual magazines. If anyone is interested in a decent number or all of what I have left then I think they can be couriered for £10 and I'm sure a price could be worked out. I won't let them go for nothing but I am mainly just trying to clear space. I've read all these and Guitar Techniques is really the only magazine that I want to continue to collect.
13. I have around 50 guitar magazines for sale, all ending soon on ebay and all going for pretty cheap. There aren't any bass ones, but still feel free to take a look http://shop.ebay.co.uk/vaibanez89/m.html?_...p;_trksid=p4340 Edit: Magazine listings have all now ended. To view what didn't sell go to completed listings on the left and if you're interested in any then give me a PM.
14. That's what I was thinking but thought it best to check as "these have been used and didn't have any problems. Worked and sounded like a dream!" seemed to suggest that they might be.
