  1. Howdi! Actually I am kinda in between moving back to the Midlands! Long story...
  2. How about the tuners?
  3. I think if you consider all the posts on this, it's all wrong! I hope the winning bidder does some research. Bidding up to nearly 1900 quid.
  4. Auction is here chaps! Still time to bid Be interesting to see what it goes for with 2 days left. There have been alot of bids so I am predicting a last minute rush and 2.5k. https://sherwoodphoenix.co.uk/auctions/#!/auctions/0e1d7caa-0260-4034-ba84-60303c0d9202/listings/035b5d74-65bd-4854-b288-754a618b3655?ic=90
  5. Decided there are far too many questions about this - even at 1500 quid + auction fees which bidding is now at. So going to pass. Thanks for all the info chaps, you have been most helpful!
  6. Looking at a few more (like this one) and the Andy Baxter one it does seem to be a deeper imprint. Making the one on the left look less authentic!
  7. Yeah, that 'L' is a bit strange. Not seen one like that before. Maybe the serial stamper had been down to the pub that afternoon!
  8. Yes, I thought that. Might be trick of the light tho.
  9. I am going to try and pop in tomorrow.
  10. Thanks for the welcome!
  11. Great! Very helpful. How much you pay for this?
  12. I thought the font for the serial looked a bit strange though. Unlike other 64s I've compared.
  13. It's in an auction mate. Currently 1400. Was wondering whether it was worth a punt really. I think some bits really are 64
  14. Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated. Yes, it does raise rather a few questions I think. Yeah, the decals are a mile off.
  15. Hi there. I was wondering about this '64 Jazz Bass. It is for sale and was wondering about authenticity. I know a fair amount about 50's Strats but not 60s Fender basses. However, being a vintage fan I always wanted a 60s JB. It has been refinished but other parts of it don't look right to me (serial no stamp, knobs, pots etc.). I wondered what your thoughts were - if any? Many thanks!
  16. Hi there fellow bassists! I don't want to post anything in the wrong section so maybe you could you direct me? I have seen a 64 Jazz Bass for sale and wanted to post some pictures and get some opinions on it's authenticity. I don't mind paying to sign up if that's the correct section. If you could advise me on the appropriate part of the forum to post in, that would be great! Cheers!
  17. Hi there! Bassist of 37 years! I love my bass. Main bass is a Musicman Stingray. Never joined a bass forum before. I hope to contribute occasionally.
