  1. Hi, thank you so much for coming and adding this to BC. It was an overwhelming day, the love for our humble brother brings tears to my eyes as I type...So many friends, family and musicians all together to celebrate his life πŸ’š Funds raised through the raffle and collection on the day stand at Β£12,515.05!!! Thank you!!! Nick's legacy will live on, enabling young musicians to thrive, special needs groups to access instruments and enable more LIVE Music 🎢 in our city. We couldn't have done it without everyone's support and Daz & Gav at Grainger Guitars πŸ˜‡
  2. Tried to add a video, technology baffles me... πŸ˜‚ 1757334673869.3gp
  3. Hi there, Thanks for your messages, Nick's memorial gig was phenomenal, grateful for Grainger guitars and all there support for our family. 5. Hi there, Thanks for your messages and πŸ”Š advice! There is a slower part of the song where I can take a deep breaths. The stage isn't too large so won't feel lost. Just off for my final bass lesson with my bass teacher James Formosa who is a 🌟 and will be there on Sunday. I am opening the day at noon so at least I can enjoy the other bands after my "performance" Will try to get someone to record it so I can do my first BC upload! Nick would be glad you're supporting his little sister, thank you all 🀟
  6. Hello Bass Chatters, Could anyone offer advice on how to stop nerves when going on stage for the 1st time please? I have only ever played in front of 3 humans and a cat... πŸ˜‚ Only playing one track at my brother's memorial gig (Nick Smith - doctor_bass) πŸ’š But don't want anxiety to ruin my tribute to my beloved bro. Answers appreciated by 6th September. Gig is the 7th, at noon. Cheers Blondy 🎸
  7. Morning all, she certainly is one of a kind... What an instrument, the finish is out of this world and we all felt very privileged to visit Grainger this weekend. Thank you Gav and Daz 🩡 Had there been a sofa, Led Zepp soundtrack and a β˜• machine I never would have left πŸ˜‰ Fallen hard for one particular resin myself!

  9. Thank you so much for posting the update. She looks beautiful, to see his name on the headstock made me 😒 but the positivity she will bring will be amazing! I found Nick's original drawing of her at his studio. He too was talented at DT at school although he was always too busy impersonating our teachers!! Kat 🩡
  10. Hi there, Thank you so much for detailing the Midas construction. It's a part of our brother that lives on... From a cardboard drawing to this! πŸ’š The bass community is truly a humble and generous one 🀟
  11. Hi Nick, Thank you for posting Nick's foundation info. I can't imagine how proud he would be to know this exists... It was good to meet you at the studio, thought I'd join the BC forum now I'm learning to play bass. Kathryn (aka Blondy!) Ps purchased a little Squier Mustang in Olympic white 😍
