1. REWARD FOR MISSING ’72 REISSUE FENDER MEXICAN TELECASTER IN THREE-TONE SUNBURST

£100 reward for safe return & I will pay shipping/courier costs

This guitar has great sentimental value to me. It went missing after my band played the Ponyhof club in Frankfurt on 24 April 2014. We accidentally left it behind and by the time the promoter managed to get back to the club to pick it up on Friday 9th May, it was no longer in its case. The case was in a locked room to the side of the stage, which, as far as I know, only other bands and staff would have access to.

It was taken sometime between the evening of 24th April and 9th May.

My suspicion is that it was taken out of its hard-case and put into another guitar case so that whoever took it could leave without raising any questions - but of course I don’t know this for sure.

Here is the link for full spec/picture of the guitar: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/electric_guitars_detail.asp?stock=03121114170118&gclid=CMzS3aLjob4CFSEewwodxxsAAQ

    Modifications and damage

There are a few modifications and unique damage that might help identify the guitar.

The standard bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Little 59 humbucker. The pickup with have the SD logo on it.

The standard strap buttons have been replaced with chrome straplock buttons. They are more compact than the standard type.

There is a long crack in the lacquer where the neck meets the body of the guitar.

There is a ding/punch hole in the lacquer near the front-base of the guitar, below the bridge pickup ashtray cover.

One of the volume dials is misaligned, so it only turns as far as 4/5 (even though it's on full)
This guitar does not have much resale value. If you know anything about it please let me know. I am desperate to get this guitar back.

  2.
oh no of course I'm not disgusted about you (you offer me you service as soon as you could) and neither your preamp (I've not tryed it yet) but because of the seller which send me the preamp with a very badly done parcel and does'nt answer to my mails now.

to every one here NEVER BUY ANYTHING from the member "UBERKATE" I'm really wondering if she didn't send me an already broken preamp.

I understood that you can't give me a price but do you think it would be about 10, 100, 200, 300€ (sorry french guys speak in €) tell me in £ I'll make the conversion as well. cause the biggest problem is that I must send it to you so it will be expensive just to ship near 80£

could you show me on this photo which output should I used to plug to the power amp ?

is it the first one the left ? oh I begin to think that I'm idiot I plugged it with the send jack as I 've always plugged my preamp ... I'll try tonight when home

my headphones is a stereo one that was just for a test, if the headphones output doesn't work it doesn't matter.

thanks a lot for your help, I'm really happy to have bought your work ... be sure of it ... I'll be more when it works.
Eek, only just seen this. Thanks for bad-mouthing me before I've had a chance to sort this problem out for you.

I didn't reply to your emails and PMs because I had been in hospital for over a week because of emergency surgery - my appendix burst. I won't apologise for not avidly checking Basschat during this time since I was enduring the most agonising pain of my life.

I got back from hospital on Monday and emailed you back immediately to reassure you that the package has been insured (at my cost) for the full worth of the contents. I am currently in the middle of trying to sort out a claim for you. I need you to send me pictures of the box it was sent in (and the masses of bubble wrap). I believe it was a securely wrapped package, there was no room for it to rattle around, it had a clear 'fragile' and 'this way up' signs, and I could get testimonies of at least 2 other Basschatters to confirm that the preamp was in perfect working condition when it was sent to you. I have posted various pieces of equipment through eBay etc. without ever having a complaint. I have also received plenty of gear by post and I understand how to wrap up a package securely.

I believe the fault is with the courier company, which is a shame as I've used them without problem before. I believe these are the risks a buyer takes when having something delivered from abroad. I believe I did everything possible to make sure the preamp reached you in fine condition and I am trying to save you money now by sorting out this claim for you (I am the only one who can make the claim).

I'm truly sorry that the preamp hasn't reached you in working condition, but I wish you hadn't posted a comment such as above without waiting a for my response first.

I'm awaiting your pictures of the box and inner packaging so that I can send them in support of the insurance claim.

  3. SOLD PENDING USUAL.

    Hi guys,

I didn't really get on with separates, so I'm putting this power amp back up for sale. It's been gigged but is still in great condition (flightcased as soon as I bought it). I bought it off Shockwave back in March, and I'd like £120 for it, or part-ex towards a new head, or trade for something else (let's see what you got!)

I can possibly sell it with the flightcase - to be honest I don't know what I'm getting next so might want to keep it.

Shockwave has very kindly let me use the pictures from his original ad - it still looks exactly the same - a clean-looking, solid and simple power amp! Please note that it's (obviously) the bottom unit in the rack here, and the blue rack case is NOT the same one that I have - it's been kept in a regular heavy duty plastic and metal case.

    Specs:

    2-Channel Operation:
    270W/CH @ 8-ohm
    450W/CH @ 4-ohm
    680W/CH @ 2-ohm

    Bridged Operation:
    900W/CH @ 4-ohm
    1350W/CH @ 8-ohm

    Slew Rate: 80v/mS
    SN Ratio: 103dB
    Total Harmonic Distortion: .009%
    2-Space Rack Chassis
    LED Power And Level Indicators
XLR & 1/4" TRS Balanced Inputs
    5-Way Binding Post Outputs
    48 lb.

Only external 'damage' is a few scuffs on the top from where it went in the rack. Perfect working order of course.

This was wired up in stereo when I bought it, and is now switched it to mono. Can easily be wired back of course.

I live in Newport, S. Wales and would not recommend posting this. I can deliver to within a reasonable distance or meet halfway etc. Payment by bank transfer, cash on collection.

    Any questions please ask :)

  4. I'm currently moonlighting as the bassist in Bedford Falls. We play 90s indie-rock in the vein of Superchunk, the Lemonheads et al.

Failures' Union are another indie-rock band from Buffalo. They play a similar sort of music, but better. You may know their bassist from the band Lemuria.

  5. Not that 2x18 needs any more praise :) but...

Bought a Mustang off Will last week, excellent communication, really helpful, and the packaging the bass arrived in would have survived a nuclear blast!

A pleasure to deal with, thank you Sir.
