EHX tri parallel mixer... would this work for you? It can switch between channels or you can have them in parallel.

Interesting. Would be good to have some vol and EQ control.

  2. Hiya BCers. Need some advice on best/most efficient way to set up these separate pedal effects chains (going out to one amp). They don't need to be stacked.

    Signal 1:

    Tuner > preamp > fuzz > amp

    Signal 2:

    Drop tuner > drive/boost > amp

I'm thinking I'd obviously need to split signals at the start of the chain, but then I'd need something at the other end like an ABY to do the actual switching, right?

    Cheers.

  3. ******SOLD SOLD SOLD *********

All the bumpf and pics can be found here: https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-dept/guitar-pedals/volume-expression-pedals/hotone-soul-press-mini-wah-volume-and-expression-pedal

Loads of reviews and demos on YouTube.

Perfect working order, home use only, not gigged. Haven't tried it with a bass but sounds lovely with my guitar set-up.

I do have the box but unfortunately it's at home (I am locked-down elsewhere); if you really want it at a later date I can post it separately at no extra cost.

£50 with tracked postage or collection from Uxbridge/West London area.

  4. Bear brand red leather guitar strap. Found it during a clear out today.

130cm long at shortest adjustment, 5.5 cm wide.

Selling because at its shortest it's still a little bit too long for me (I'm 5'4" and I play high). Few scratches but perfect working order - the leather has barely softened. Currently £54 on the Bear website. £25 posted or £20 collection from south Bristol (Bedminster).

I was asked to play at a private reggae garden party yesterday for a few hours, so I went down my summerhouse before to practice and , Baby Jane by rod Stewart came on the radio and I started to play along, I had the basic Bassline down in about 15 minutes and absolutely loved it.   So have you ever found yourself playing something you wouldn’t normally play and enjoyed it 🙂

Currently learning some p. gnarly mathy rock stuff for a big Euro tour I'm depping for next year (come from more of an indie/pop background) - need my calculator for some of these time sigs! It's improving my playing though, for sure.

  6. What are the best guitar/instrument shops around at the moment? Or legendary ones that are still going strong? What are your worst gripes about guitar shops?

And which are the worst shops around? ;)

I had a fun time at GuitarGuitar in Surrey a few months back - really nice range and enthusiastic, non-patronising staff, they let me try about five different guitars with no hard sell. Started shredding on a Firebird and got big thumbs up from a \m/ dude.

Greatest guitar shop is S. Wales memory was Speed Music in Newport/Cardiff but they unfortunately closed down. Again, really enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff who were happy to let you blast LOUD on amps and always gave you a great deal.

Worst I've been to recently was one of those on Denmark St. in London - knobbish staff chatting to their mates and making jokes about women not being able to plug in guitar leads (??!!) - and crap guitars to boot. Shop was totally empty as well which is a pretty bad sign considering its location. Forgotten what it was called mind...

  7. I've had a quick search on the forums to see if this has been covered elsewhere but I can't find anything. Apologies if there are already a bunch'a threads about this.

Anyway, I've recently bought a dream guitar and want to get it insured - it's going to be traveling with me to a lot of gigs in the UK and Europe... and possibly further afield.

Got a quick quote from Allianz for 'worldwide including unattended vehicle' for £40 a year which seems... incredibly reasonable tbh. Obviously I would need to check out the details first but was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with buying or claiming on instrument insurance, good pointers on what to look out for etc. etc.

Bit of a boring thread but any advice welcome. There are a *lot* of companies out there!

  8. So I finally got around to cleaning this up and re-stringing it... my oh my what a great player! Kinda heavy but so resonant and comfortable. Every time I put it down I pick it up again five minutes later to carry on twiddling :D

Electronics are snafu'd though. Cuts in and out when you wiggle the pickup selector, and one of the little switches has snapped off. When it does 'sound' through the amp, it's lovely.

Anyone interested in taking it off my hands for a nominal offer if I get some pictures up? (If it wasn't a few months before Xmas I'd gift it to the next person but times are hard I'm afraid.)

  9. MXR M196 AB box amp splitter pedal for sale. Used for one tour. Excellent condition, though there might be a little bit of velcro residue on the bottom. Boxed with full instructions.

Located in Portsmouth. Visiting Cardiff and Bristol next weekend so could do collection/delivery in person.

    £35 please.
