1. Evening low enders! Just bin out had a few scoops, tonights burning question, how did the master of soloing get that sound-thanks you tube!! chuffin amazin that it is,sans effects too i'll wager pure tone and massive amount of drive i'll guess. thank's in advance. I'll go and sleep off these ferkins of bank top,- nite all.
 2.
Got mine from Sounds Live about a year ago, great guys to deal with ex demo and £100 quid off RRP. First impressions were good, nice slim maple neck with blocks. (These are not block inlays but appear to have been superimposed in some way onto the fingerboard). I'd like to know how they do that. The quality appears to be high, no rough or unfinished edges and the neck has a satin finish (my preference anyway). The PUPS are Duncan designed (Not Seymours for this price but work very well). All in all unbelievable value for money these squiers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. LC
Yep I can totally agree with you on that- I played a Fender jazz at PMT in Salford then switched to the Squire VMJ-and found the Squire felt better made and more solid, the pots on the Squire where smoother and felt sturdier,I',m gonna bag one of these beauties in the new year, I've seen 'em for £235 new. L.B
 3. All sorted now- I'll get my coat, Schoolboy error note to self-dont mess with your efx before a gig...... Taxi for the dummy with the bass
 4. Can anyone help please, During tonights gig my Hartke HA2500 decided to lose all of the mids and highs leaving just the lows-although it sounded very bassy as you would assume its not an ideal situation, I immediately changed the output leads from the amp to the cabs-no change there, so Iam at a loss, One thought did cross my mind was what if my treble pot on my bass had failed, but i've never heard that happen-but it felt ok-I will try another bass tomorrow...fingers crossed. any help would be appreciated.
 5.
Funny you should mention the psu, I was trying a few options today and decided to isolate each stomp box from the power source and discovered that the noise from the ODB disappeared when I powered it from a separate source, coupling that with removing the limiter from the chain altogether eliminated the noise altogether. It appears that the Boss pedals are more sensitive to dodgy supplies than the rest of my pedals some of which are more expensive ie the 2 MXR's Result....
Oh and thank's for the help guy's
' post='1045708' date='Dec 2 2010, 09:45 PM']All suggestions welcome. The power supply. that's what's causing your noise issues and it's relation to your noisy pedals i.e ODB/big muff. Get a better power supply or power brick and power pedals from the same source.
7. Evening all! I've just got in from our weekly praccy- And I gave my new pedal board It's first run out. When I plugged it in and powered up there was a high pitched hiss coming through the amp not a lot of noise but enough to annoy-all pedals where in bypass mode. the chain went something like this Guitar --Boss Limiter--Boss Chorus--Boss ODB--EHX Big muff--Digitech Bass Synth Wah--MXR Octaver--MXR Carbon Copy--Hartke HA2500. They are all powered by a 9v 1300ma Psu -ve tip, except for the EHX Big Muff-Battery for now. Now this set up worked fine at home on the practise rig,Obviously the volumes where greatly reduced, A couple things I noticed was that if i turned up the enhance knob on the limiter-the noise increased- I had the knob at 12 o clock, using the limiter on it's own out of the chain was fine. The ODB on the other hand-If you turned up the treble boost knob past 10-o-clock the hiss increased even with the gain turned down to 9-o-clock,even if the pedal was used out of the chain and powered independantly-I've only had the pedal 4weeks from new. After removing the ODB From the chain at rehearsal I still had to turn down the Enhance knob on the Limiter to reduce the hiss. All suggestions welcome.

 13. I'm just casting a feeler out there to see if anyone might be interested in my Fretless.L.H (of course) Here is a brief descrption-Fender style Fretless jazz in black,2 J type PU.chrome cover over the bridge pu,Flat wounds,4 string. £75 ish or a pedal of some sorts,Boss,EHX or W.H.Y. prefer to collect/meet up in NW. pics added. 15. I've just made a kick ass ruby murray-bucket loads of chicken and spinach etc, washed it down with a bottle of Asda'a best 3 for 10quid red wine(coz we've no gig this weekend) and was thinkin about wether to purchase the JD Crybaby wah pedal-dirt cheap off someone i know, but then the frequency response as it is doesnt cut the mustard-therefore my burning question to all BC'ers out there ---is it possible to modify said pedal to do the business for bass guitar-all replies gratefully recieved. many thanks- soggy biskit!
 16. I have just ordered a boss CEB-3 and will be looking to get the LMB-3in the near future
 17.
In this case, I'd plug my bass into the Limiter/Enhancer, then into the chorus, then into the amp. Which pedals are you using? Is it the Boss Limiter/Enhancer LMB-3 and the Boss Chorus CEB-3? Dan
18. Thank's Man, So these pedals work in a different way,I'll look them up on the interweb thingy-in depth If I had them on a board would i be better off having the limiter/enhancer early in the signal chain before say-the chorus or vice versa,
 19.
Hey man, these pedals do very different things. The limiter/enhancer will control the volume of your signal by turning it down once it reaches a certain volume. It does this very quick, potentially effecting every note you play. The chorus effectively duplicates your bass sound, making it sound thicker. Things are more complicated than that, but that is the simple explanation. Your question seems to assume that the pedals are similar, when in fact they are completely different. Dan
20. I'm putting together a pedalboard and I am wondering what the difference is between a limiter/enhancer and a chorus pedal or do they both do the same thing, being a total newbie to stomp boxes any advice would be welcome.
 21. Sorry I forgot to add that I have a Bass Pod And a Zoom BFX708 thingy.
 22. Recently,After a brief split, the Band i play in decided to reform and refresh the set we play-so the singist asks to do a couple of Kasabian numbers,I've not got a problem with that, but we also try to emulate the sound as accurately as possible,so with that in mind I have to try and replicate the bassists sound-does anyone have any idea what effect I can use to get the sound of Kasabians bass on Fast Fuse? Any suggestions welcome.
 23. Our Band has decided to call it a day the general vibe was that it had run its course,So that leaves me at a loose end so I am looking for a new project, lots of rocky numbers or even a tribute band,I would like to hit the ground running and get back out there gigging asap otherwise the missus may find work for my idle fingers=(the lounge needs painting she commented on recently )
 24.
Hi all I'm a newbie that isn't playing bass, and hasn't done for 6 months due to a new born being er born.
