Definitely Hotcovers, better quality than Roqsolid and generally cheaper

Strung up the E string and immediately saw they didnt have enough tensions for me. Rest of strings are new/unused. E was cut for a P with plenty of winds. Price includes UK postage

Bit reluctant to post but always happy to try and accommodate meet ups

Stew bought a few sets of flats off me in an effortlessly smooth transaction. No danger here

If my Spector shifts any time soon id be very interested in this. Not a million miles away from Lancaster either!

The microphone and cab suggest that it’s a guitar amp rather than bass amp at first glance
I thought that. I did see a live vid where that make shift grill cloth was moving/bulging to the bass notes. In earlier videos is a standard black looking metal grill

Pearce and Yamaha used similar layouts/knobs. Who are the band?
Its early Zutons. Amazing live tone with a 70’s jazz bass and flatwounds on old Jools Holland gigs

Anyone identify this amp from these really poor pics? Looks like maybe a 3u rack type amp (seems two in a rack so assume one back up). Seems fender-ish type knobs but cant find anything fender wise on google that would match it. Sound wise its old school valvey type but size wise im not sure it would be all valve 🤔🤔

Im an Elites user (flats, grounds, nickel). The grounds are high tension, to me they feel even more so than their flats. Great strings but initially very unbalanced sound wise. The E is particularly tubby in comparison to the rest but eventually they do even out. I may gave a used set somewhere i could dig out for you

The 3-Pro comes close but just does not have the thunderous presence of the CL.
I thought the 3 NON pro was close, same pre as the svt II non pro. Its just the ‘3D’ ,for want of a better word, that the Classic gives that ive just never had anywhere else. If i had to pick THE closest that ive tried it would be the Mesa BB750

Every time i have one i sell it due to weight, spend ages trying loads of different amps, then buy another SVT. Just bought my 4th (3 x classics, 1 x II non-pro). Cant get that sound anywhere else for me

🤣 that tub is full of real ale bottle tops as my mate is making a bottle top/resin table from an old cable drum

Price drop as ive bought something. Will take £250 if it can be collected from Bolton
Ashdown Drive Plus *SOLD*
in Effects For Sale

Bought for a recording session in which it performed admirably but im not an effects guy. On the settings i have on the pic it gave a nice subtle growl with a bit of grit that really responded when i dug in. Im very certain it can also go to the other extreme and be balls out fuzz. £35 delivered in UK or can be collected from Bolton. No power lead supplied but takes standard 9v
