  1. Hiya!

I'm selling my black face Ampeg SVP-PRO, I got it as part of a bundle a few years back and haven't really used it much as I already had the Hammerite face version and the BSP model.

Great preamp, just surplus to my requirements and it seems a shame for it to be going unused in my spare room. Massive range of tones from a small box, I've been using my other one through a 1600e power amp for years as the SVP head was too heavy and expensive as well as not loud enough for me, but you could use this in conjunction with any other amp just to add some valve flavour - loads of options.

I'm asking £300 ono, it's in pretty good nick bar the bit of rack rash you can see in the picture. Any questions feel free to ask.

    Cheers!

  2. Hiya!

I'm selling my Ampeg SVP CL valve preamp (19" rack), if you're looking at this you probably don't need me to tell you about how great they are - but just in case, it's pretty great. Ampeg CL tone but you can put it through a lightweight power amp or run it with your head for a bit more flavour.

All working as it should as far as I can tell, I've been using my SVP-PRO or SVP-BSP (yes, I'm a fan of Ampeg gear) more but I've never had any issues with any of them in all the years I've had them. I just need to clear some space and raise some funds at the moment so hoarding this lovely stuff and not using it just seems silly.

I'm starting at £300 ono as I don't see many of these around anymore and this one's in pretty good nick. Any questions feel free to ask.

    Cheers!

  3. Hiya!

I'm selling my old Digitech 256XL 19" rack fx unit. I got it as part of a bundle a few years back and haven't ever used it, I found that the battery for the user memory storage had died and tried to replace it but haven't had any luck getting it to work. All the factory settings work and can be edited, you just can't save the alterations as presets.

I just need the space so a fiver takes it, any questions feel free to ask.

    Cheers!

  4. Hiya!

I'm finally getting round to selling my Rocktron Blue Thunder preamp/fx unit, I got it part of a bundle a few years ago and haven't ever used it other than to make sure it works - it all seems to be working fine, I just don't have a psu I can supply with it unfortunately.

I'm asking £180 ono for starters, any questions feel free to ask. ***DROPPED TO £85 POSTED***

    Cheers!

  5. Actually I'm only really asking about cabs in this thread, I'm happy enough with my head for now but the 6x10 is getting unwieldy!

But thanks for your input, I hadn't even heard of those heads so there's food for thought if I do decide to change.

Rather than using a single large cab, I'd go for several smaller ones. You only need take out what the job needs and several trips carrying lighter stuff is better than one that gives you a hernia. You may not even need to go lightweight if you do that. Older style smaller cabs - such as 2x10s - are quite manageable and cheap to pick up used these days.

That's exactly what I'm planning on, I've already got an old Warwick 2x10 but it's still heavy and never loud enough on its own so I want 4x10 or similar at the minimum. Maybe a pair in the future, but the stereo giggery pokery might have to wait.

  7. Stuart bought my Mesa cab (with a dodgy driver) and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with - very open, reasonable and accomodating when negotiating price and logistics, and a nice guy in person too.

Can't ask for more when you're selling, top chap. Cheers!

Beware the odds and sods upgrade path - buying a cab here, an amp there, mixing and matching and never really being satisfied. It appears cheap, because you buy in dribs and drabs, but you can end up spending more than if you just sell your existing rig and go for something you like. I did that before I saw sense, off loaded my mish-mash of stuff and bought what I really wanted/liked.

It can be risky but I've got a plan in mind, the only real variable is the cab at the moment. I ought to Get the other bits first but having to take my 6x10 to rehearsals each week recently has brought the reality of the thing home to me!

  9. Hiya!

I'm selling my Korg DTR-1000 (1u rack) in good condition, tiny bit of rack-rash on top but that's it. Fantastic tuner, tracks better than anything else I've used and I have baggy old de-tuned strings that wobble about all over the place! I've actually ended up with two of these and that's the only reason I'm parting with this one.

£40 takes it, I'd prefer cash on collection from Norwich (close to the airport) but I will post at the buyer's expense.

Any questions or requests for more photos please just ask.

    Cheers! Matt
