Up for sale is my mate Nigel's Ashdown ORIGINal 300w microbass head model HD-1. The amp is being sold as Nigel has unfortunately passed away and his Family have asked me to sell on his gear, (12 Basses sold already - moving on to his amps and cabinets now). It's in great, unmarked condition, fully functional and there are very little usage marks on this unit . All in all its a very clean well looked after item which has been reliable from day one. Features on this unit are Effects send and return,, 1/4 '' Jack input for both passive and active basses, Hi-Lo input switch, Input gain, output gain and full bass mid and treble controls plus a shape control switch to alter the eq. There is also a DI output for connection to a pa system or mixing desk. At the rear of the unit there are two speaker outputs which run at 4 ohms. It can also be used with two 8 ohm cabs or a singe 8 or 4 ohm cab. The unit is also fan cooled and has an additional headphone socket also. These amps are very popular and retail new at between £370 and £429 so I am pricing this to sell. For sale. A wonderful 'Greco' P Bass from the Japanese factory that produced basses for Fender back in the day. These basses are great instruments and are sought after by those in the know. This is a particularly fine example. Serial Number E 812272 dates it as a 1981 instrument (as far as I can tell) and you can see it's been well looked after by its excellent condition. Finished in a lovely three tone sunburst. Guitar was owned by the bass player from Southern England club band 'Creative Covers' and was acquired by my mate Nigel (Bumnote) from his Wife after the guy passed away a couple of years back. Nigel has, sadly, also taken an 'early bath' (April this year) and his Wife has asked me to sell on his Bass collection ( he had 11 - really had the bass bug). Interestingly, a previous owner (or maybe factory fitted? I can't tell) has added a novel string damper device that really works well - easy to use - just flip the lever and hey presto. A useful addition I think. Apart from a few very minor scratches and the odd ding (see pics), none of which are highly visible or detract from the beauty of the instrument, this Bass is in remarkable condition for it's age and I'm sure that the player who buys this beauty will be 'over the moon' with it. Looks, sounds and handles like a P Bass should. Good quality gig bag s included. I'd prefer collection/pick up but can arrange fully insured parcel delivery for an additional (approximately) £20

For Sale, an immaculate 4 String Stirling (by Music Man) Sub Series Stingray. This Bass is in immaculate condition and was purchased new in December 2021. It's never been gigged but had home use only, even had the plastic film on the pick guard which I removed yesterday for the photographs. Bass was bought by my old buddy and Band Mate Nigel (Bumnote on BC) who sadly passed away in April this year. This is the second Bass I've advertised on Basschat as his Wife has asked me to sell on his Bass collection. I'm really impressed with the build quality and finish on this instrument which compares well with the much more expensive offerings in Music Man's flagship line. Lovely maple neck on this too. Active electronics give this Bass Bass an added punch and it really is a nice example. Just look at the finish on that Black paintwork - like glass. I've priced this to sell and a good quality gig bag is included. Go on, treat yourself for Christmas - you know you want to!! I'd prefer pickup/collection but I can arrange fully insured delivery for an additional approx. £20.

Hi All. Sadly my long time friend and band mate Nigel Baker (Bumnote on Chat) passed way earlier this year. Nigel had a great Bass collection with many fine pieces such as this lovely, three tone sunburst G&L SB-2 with Rosewood fingerboard. The Family have asked me to sell on his instruments and this is the first Ad I've placed here on Basschat. Serial No B022659 manufactured in 1993/94. This is a great sounding professional instrument. Trust me , I know - I've stood next to it on stage many times over the years and I was always impressed by the driving power and 'punchyness' of the tone Nigel used to get out of it. Certainly one of his favorites, and mine. The Bass is In excellent condition - comes with G&L hard case. All in all, a great bass which I've priced to sell.
