Hi there, I'm in my 50's and recently came back to playing bass after a 15 year hiatus. Got a hand injury way back which put me off and also having little kids back then I had no time! Anyway, I'm back playing and also supporting my son and my nephew who have both taken up the bass playing mantle! 🥰 I play a MIJ Fender Jaguar mostly but also have a Fender Kingman V2 acoustic bass which I love messing around on. I have a Vintage Icon series fretless which I picked up about six months ago simply because I had never played fretless. My son has a Squier Mustang bass and an Ibanez Talman SS as back up. I play through a Fender rumble 500 combo amp and an array of pedals are also getting messed with daily 😂🤦🏼‍♂️🤟🏼 Not gigging... It's all just for fun. Recently bought a Volt 4 interface too but still to figure that out!

Hi all, Just following down this thread after I recently acquired a Squier CV 60's Mustang for a great price. I wanted to switch out the pick guard and pup covers so I went online and bought some new ones. I have since discovered the discrepancy in pup size! 🤦🏼‍♂️ I have the 40mm pups but the guard and covers are for 44mm. The conundrum is that I think the stock Squier pick ups sound really nice. Do you think a luthier would be able to make an adjustment so that I can use these covers without changing the pup?

Well, I didn't play for years when my kids were young. I thought my playing days were done. However, I recently reformed my band from 30 years ago. We had fun for a time but ultimately it didn't last. My fire though, is been re-lit. Anyone up for a jam? 🙂
