Thanks for the information and feedback on your Italia Cavo bass. I am not sure whether or not this forum is still active but I thought that I would try anyway.
I have just bought one for all the same reasons - lighter weight and shorter scale having had a lot of other heavier basses and smaller hands. Shoulder bursitis pushed me over the edge. This weighs just over seven pounds and is lovely to play.
However I do have a question. I live in New Zealand and NO ONE has a case for it. I have learned over the years that gig bags are not a great idea. Can you please tell me what you are using for this? I have tried emailing the company in America but to no avail. The bass with its shorter scale is too short for a regular bass case - it flops around too easily - and too big for a guitar case!
Any information you can provide - picture, specs, suggestions would be really appreciated. Even the name/location of the store where you got it would be terrific.
