Has anyone done a comparison of lightweight tuners for a Jazz Bass? I'm looking at either Gotoh Res-o-Lites or Hipshot Ultralites. Just wondering which was lighter? Cheers.

Did the bass produce these tones with the old strings?

Do you have a weight yet?

Interested...But isn't this a Ray24? Any idea of weight please? Does it have a case and could it be posted? I'm in Norfolk. Ta!

Thanks guys, you're right of course. I've had 3 rays over the years and this plays the nicest, is the lightest of the 3 and I really love the sunburst on it. The neck on this one is closer to a J than a P, which I prefer. I think they only made these for 2 years.

'59 P Bass Time Machine Relic - *SOLD*
in Basses For Sale
Posted · Edited by zapp
Selling my P Bass as I just haven't gelled with the wider P Bass neck. I've realised that I'm a Jazz Bass player neck wise. So this excellent Bass is up for sale. I don't have the original traveller but I do have the spec sheet from Fender that they sent me from the serial number. This is a 2003 vintage blonde, pemium ash body, rosewood fingerboard bass. The Relicing is not overdone, just looks like a played/gigged, well looked after base. Weight on my bathroom scales is 4 kg. Comes with the case, strap, thumb rest and I'll include a Charles Guitars 'aged' torty pickguard. Tweed hard case included. Currently has Fender stainless steel flats on it 45-100. Any trail welcome.
