  1. Figured out how to use static IRs with the Opus.

So cool. Helps with the option paralysis of the DynIRs

Been using the opus a lot lately for practicing. It takes pedals very well where the katana go doesnt.

I use that too sometimes but the MS offers me many more options (and controls my other pedals too). If I were taking the FI and nothing else to a session I’d probably use the 4Control.

Yeah, i would like a morningstar, but cant cant justify it with my setup.

I do has a dmc.micro for midi on my smaller board and i am amazed by hiw much thiis little box can do. Im using all the ports on it simultaneously to control multiple pedals and an expression pedal.

I use mine with my Morningstar controller which can act as the interface too so no need to unplug/disassemble anything - simply hook up a usb cable to the Morningstar et voilá!

I use the midibeam 4Control fastened ubder my board.

No need to take off the FI and it gives me expression pedal and an extra two button switch

Just when I thought my board was becoming worthy of posting on this thread @admiralchew blows it out of the water! Impressive boards and cool to see them all together. I'd not thought about pedalboards as a hobby in their own right but it makes sense when you see stuff like this.

Think I might wait a while before I put my meagre efforts out there.

    Post it!

    Chew is an inspiration!

That's really nice to hear, thanks! Hopefully they're not used as an example of what happens when a person is still dealing with the remnants of 20+ years of obsessive compulsive disorder.

They would be well used to that. I'm their da!

Thank you. I know that the boards (including the number) won't be too everyone's taste and it may look gratuitous, but using pedals are my main hobby and I also enjoy them also as art-like objects. I would likely trade my pedals for more skill on the instrument but life/time constraints that mean I take my bass-related enjoyment disproportionately from pedal-usage.

The mini board weighs a ton but I tried to recreate the pedals on my bottom right board with minis (and the same with Broughton pedals). I've used the Minis board a few times (it may weigh a ton but the big boards weigh a lot more!) with a Broughton Proto DI and the only thing I would consider changing is to introduce a preamp for more EQ control.

Which pedal is it you're trying to identify?

Thank you for the kind comment too.

Your boards are so sick i show them to my kids!

I also use your pics to justify buying more pedals  (justify to myself i mean)

And you have to pay tax on that when it arrives. What a con!

I know! Thankfully this was a bass i bought many years ago, so I'm really only paying shipping and whatever import will be. I believe estimated to be $122 by usps. I valued it at 350 i think. Maybe 500. I forget what i told my friend.

This is a cool one! I'll do a reunited bass thread when it arrives! (Hopefully in one piece)

This was my main bass in the 90s when i lived in San Francisco

Let's see... according to Thomann, the cheapest Music Man is £2,666; the cheapest MIA Fender is £1,369; and the cheapest Rickenbacker is £2,222.
The Harley Benton equivalents are £162, £111, and £195 respectively.
So I'll take the Music Man please, and then sell it for sixteen Harley Bentons 😆

In all seriousness, if someone gave me £2,666 that could only be spent on basses, I'd be looking for two to five that cover different sonic territory (P with flats, MM, fretless, etc)

Jeez, is a MM that much now! Shocking.

New things have been accidentally bought, @jimbobothy showed me how the pros use dual lock, and I had enough patch cables…

    tuner - oc10 - C4 - H9 - iron man - Omnicomp - L4 preamp - shallow water clone - Anadime - H9 - colourbox

New are the valeton oc10 which is just amazing (and was an accident buying)

and the H9max which can do so much and pushed the zoom ms70cdr off the board… lots of crossover with the C4 so we will see how that goes

I wanna know how the pros use dual lock!

    Spread the knowledge...

  10. All my basses are heavily modded, put together by parts or built from scratch.

I do have two very old ibanezes that are stock that i am selling. Everything else though is heavily modded.

    Here's a few.

Built from scratch with a buddy

Refinished in nitro, new pickuos, new bridge

built both from parts. Ledt is warmoth nody with 2tek bridge and moses graphite neck with Batolinis, right is mostly fender parts, schaller tuners, lollar pickups

Built entirely from scratch. Friend built the neck

One of the John East circuits I have installed has given up the ghost (see elsewhere), uncertain at this point whether it's worth just pulling it out and sending it to John for a service or just trying something else.  Looking for replacement recommendations.

Effectively a three knob unit for a two pickup bass.  I did like the Darkglass circuit that was in my old Spector Euro LX, but specs just seem so vague on that.

    Help!

I use a lusithand nfp pre.

    Its pretty killer.

Okay, this thing is better than I'd hoped for...every bit as good as the Waza-Air-B, the only real difference is the Air-B is completely wireless.
I haven't even explored all the features because there's simply so much 𝘵𝘰 explore.
Nothing else in the headphone amp comes close...my Fender Micro Headphone Amp is already boxed up and ready to ship, sending it to a guitarist friend.
Vox, Nux, Blackstar, Flamma, Joya, etc, if you're looking for a bass headphone amp, forget about them and go with the best...incredible bargain for $125/£95.

    Sounds amazing even with bargain-priced headphones...Silensys E7.

Hard to find a bass-specific video but this should give you some idea.
