  1. From Lollar Jazz bass pickups description…

”Featuring vintage output and scatterwound coils for superior tone, the Lollar Jazz Bass style neck pickup offers a full, clear sound. We use RWRP technique for humbucking when combined with the bridge pickup. Wax potted and made with Alnico 5 magnets.”

I was thinking of wiring this bass in series so both pickups act as one humbucker.

what does RWRP mean as it says it’s makes it act like a humbucker?

    Anyone know?

  2. A JB62M I bought through eBay from Japan just arrived.

Quick play as I have a gig but seems great, just had to loosen the truss Rod a little and raise the strings a tad.

Medium scale is my favourite scale now and selling my 34” basses (one left,it’s in the classifieds,Fender P American standard)

Pleased so far but I’m a tinkerer and think I’m going to try some Quarter pounders in the Aerodyne as it’s for Rock and unsure what to put in the Jazz for Motown, soul with flats. Any recommendations?

I don't know how loud your band is, but IME it's should easily loud enough for a bigger room, within the confines of what the cab is capable of, of course. I wouldn't worry about the clip light, but 90% volume? That's insane.

    Is the BF2x10 4ohm?

    Yeah 4ohm

Was a medium sized practice room and wasn’t louder than the rest of the band (sax,2 trumpets, drums, guitar)

  4. Thanks for this, maybe it is just the red LED light then:

leszek replies to me and just clarifying what mod/fix was done on it by previous owner and if need to get it looked at by an amp tech.

Also a bit worried about headroom as last night I just took a Barefaced 2x10 instead of the Six10 with a not so loud band and by the end of it I I was at about 90% volume and gain was at about 1pm and the clip light kept flashing so wondering if this amp is loud enough for bigger rooms. But maybe it just need the Six10 but I found my GK legacy 800 goes a lot louder and cleaner than the HB unfortunately.
yet to gig with it so I’ll report back but just want to find out if anything is up with the amp as it goes on ok and clicks like you say to Green light.
