Any news on this? I have a 4-string vintage est96 and have been considering a pickup/preamp upgrade. The neck plays beautifully, had it fret-dressed by a luthier and he was very impressed with it. I had a look at the Nordstrand site.... but would it be worth putting a £100 pickup and £150+ preamp in a £170 bass? Perhaps it would, like I say, the neck is great...
