1. So I have a Marshall MB15 bass amp and a Behringer Bass V-Amp- can I run a normal guitar through this set up, and what will it sound like? Also, if that works- what cheap (under £100) guitar should I get? Thanks
2. who needs strings? Just hit the bass for maximum tone!
3. Cube's are nice, I've got a Marshall for sale up on here that's pretty good for a beginner and very cheap if you can get down to London: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=62674
4. Thanks for the replies people, I'll try that Best Practice software and see what I can get out of that, slowing down stuff- especially slap would be useful even with the tabs. So this trust your instinct thing, the hard part is that I don't really have an instinct.. every now and then I'll be playing a tab and it'll sound a bit wrong and I *might* be able to correct it, but I just don't feel like I know what I'm doing. Even tuning can sometimes be frustrating and I'll have to go back to a tuner. For scales- where should I start? Is there a set list of scales that I should learn as a beginner and work my way through? I know how to play a major and minor scale across three strings (I think).
5. Hi Basschatters, So I've been playing about a year now, and I can play some (I think) relatively challenging stuff, but I can't seem to play anything at all without the tab for it. How do I get off this addiction and get an "ear"??? Is there exercises/books i can do/read? Preferably something structured but with a low learning curve. I'm sure some of you have been in a similar situation before? Help me!
6. Bumping with new pics and a changed original post
7. Bump! I'll see if I can get some better pics soon, that one's ridiculously grainy
8. Hey this is my first post but I've been lurking on here for a while. Up for sale is my Marshall MB15 Combo- bought it about a year ago (from dv247 I think) and it hasn't moved from its spot since. It works perfectly and is in 100% as new condition, no marks or anything. Here's a couple of links for more info: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=marshal...le&resnum=1 http://www.marshallamps.com/product.asp?productCode=MB15 This is a pretty damn good beginner/practice amp. I live in London, I won't post it though, unless you're willing to pay all the postage etc. (probably won't be worth it). I can meet on the tube somewhere, preferably towards the north west of London (I live towards the Uxbridge end of the Met line). Or you can pick it up from me. I think [s]£50[/s] £45 is a good price considering the average new seems to be about £70ish. But send me any offers? I have the box for it somewhere too.
