  1. Euphonic Audio iAmp 200 combo Bought on BC about 3 years ago (I guess??) and used with a function band for 20 - 30 gigs, as well as occasional jazz gigs on electric bass and very occasional acoustic guitar playing. Never missed a beat and, though it has the odd scratch, it still works perfectly and looks spot on from a few feet away! 4 band tone controls with switchable Q/slope on the 2 mid bands, as well as 4 different tone presets. In built chromatic tuner. 12" Wizzy cone - co-axial driver delivers lots of low end for its size, and smooth treble up to about 10kHz. I love this amp but since I joined a different, much louder band, this just isn't loud enough. It's the best amp I've ever owned for jazz gigs, acoustic music and medium volume covers gigs (worked fine for a beatles/monkees/etc 60s thing) but it can't deliver the high volume needed to fill a marquee and cut through a loud drummer, keys and guitar for killers/kings of leon/foo fighters type modern rock. Looking for £300 from this to fund an Ampeg portaflex 500, but I'm interested in trading for the right head - warwick, trace, ashdown, mark, or any of the american boutique brands like Aguilar or Eden would be worth a DM, and I'm happy to sort out cash either way to make the trade fair. I live in Hindhead, am happy to meet for collection as far as Kingston/S London to the North and as far as Portsmouth to the South. [attachment=84623:photo.JPG]
  2. I'm putting together a folk/jazz band - think Bellowhead meets Polar Bear or Led Bib. Anyway, have got drums, keys, vocals, frets and sax sorted and since I work at a school (in Hindhead/Haslemere) rehearsal space isn't a problem. Any bassists out there interested in playing some traditional tunes in a less than traditional way, please pm me or email me direct at [email protected] Ta! Thom...
  3. I'm a drummer and electronic musician (and singer/guitarist, but not for this project...) wanting to make music in a polar bear, led bib style - contemporary noisy jazz with some punk attitude. I'm interested in double bass or electric (or EUB) players. You needn't be the greatest player or theoretician (i'm not!), I'm looking for someone with great ideas to contribute to some moderately whacked out music and the skills to pull it off. I've got a pianist in mind for the ensemble, and will likely be looking for a someone to contribute some other sounds once we've got this off the ground. I'm in Guildford but I'm happy to travel a sensible distance - maybe petersfield to the south and kingston/epsom to the north? If you're interested in track record, there's some of my laptop work using poetry with found sounds at www.myspace.com/thenewarthistory and my rock band can be found at www.myspace.com/whereisourlostinfantry get in touch!
