That is rather lovely , I find myself looking at this thread quite frequently ! I don't have the cash for much at the mo , but I do have technology and wherewithal to bump this little beauty to the top GLWTS mate -
I have 4 ….1 with tape wound strings , 1 with flats , 1 with rounds and 1 with nickels which is also fretless … and I need another one for a set of half rounds that aren't earning their keep ….

Too many to choose from really , but - Width of a Circle , Eight line Poem , Andy Warhol , Letter to Hermione … So many superb songs that made a huge impact on me when I was a kid and that I still listen to today ...

Hi all,
If I may, I'd like to throw in Chris Glen - most influentially (for me) when with the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, but has also done stints with MSG and other miscellany.
Beat me to it I love Chris's playing with SAHB , 'Hot City Symphony ' brilliant stuff . I'll add Alan Lancaster from the original Quo line up too . -

+1 Most people play too much anyway. Mainly to hide the fact that they're rubbish. In my opinion. Listen to Free playing live for a lesson in restraint and space. They seem to have no means of support and sometimes it only just hangs together, but it's brilliant.

Following on from the Jaco thread... Rush are another band I have never heard. Any suggestions? I could do with something to listen to on the way home tonight...

Anyone know anything about them ?

I want something to fit in the position (almost ) of a Gibson mud bucker , but smaller in size , if possible something close to the power or sound …..I'm not techie at all , does whatever K equate to power/volume ?
-
I have a Shuker Bass with 3 pickups , a P/J with a 51 up at the neck . The 51 is up close to the truss rod cavity , so pretty much where the fidelitron is in the Coronado . Ive had a look at the TV Jones , the resistances are 4.8k-bridge and 4.0k for the neck .
-
Thanks David , I'm thinking of having one installed in a bass , in the same position as the Coronado more or less . There's a SD Basslines 51there at the mo , just wondering if the fidelitron would sound beefier ?
-
Sorry guys … On the new Coronado Bass !
