Cyanide

Hi there, so, I just got myself the MLD Bass Preamp and am wondering what's with the DI output level in bypass mode? When the pedal is engaged, the level is decent, but as soon as I turn it off (i.e.bypassing the preamp) it just completely clips the input which is at ZERO gain... I can't imagine this to be the normal behavior, is it? Hope someone here might have an idea of what's going on or whether this is just a defective unit... Cheers
