In what way?

Very cool, I have a UL112 series 2 excellent cab and great value. I also have a UL310 series 2 which is my all time favourite cab for the money.

The Bassrig is more of an (excellent) emulation tool. It sounds (rather than feels) like the SVT but it doesn’t give me the same giddy joy to use it as the SBVT. However, I often play through monitor speakers so the DI makes it attractive and the in-built cab sim tames the sound in a way I like that can’t be done on the SBVT without another pedal.

 

If I can find my splitter I may be able to put together a demo of both pedals using the same signal. I’ve got a few demos of the SBVT kicking around if you’d like to hear them.

What’s it like in IEM’s as I don’t use an amp like these days?, what DI do you use with the SBVT. I did use an NOI Edison valve pre, a Barber Electronics Linden and Audio Kitchen Small Trees Valve DI. Sounded mega but to many pedals to get the sound I wanted. I want something simple that’s fab. The DI in the BassRig and cab simulator was my first choice till I saw the SBVT, Shame it doesn’t have a DI

How does it compare to the Origin Effects BassRig Super SVT?

Is this a pre 2021 or post, they have slightly difference frequencies

Serek Midwestern 2 5 string which is 30” scale. Weigh’s 8lbs 2oz or 3.685 kg. Mahogany body with robust Mahogany neck, 21 fret Pau Ferro fretboard with mandolin frets and 18mm string spacing. Passive electronics vol/pan/tone Nordstrand Z pickups in wired to the clean & clear configuration. Hipshot bridge and tuners with a black/white Deccoboom custom pickguard. Finish in light coatings of Nitro and left open grained. There’s a brown stain on the upper rear horn from the strap I think. 

Never gigged, never left the house. I got this as I suffering from some sort of autoimmune disease ME/Fibromyalgia. Plays and sounds fabulous with Pitbull strings. Comes with a fantastic Serek (Mono) gigbag.

These are fabulous instruments with great build quality, playability and a very musical passive/active circuit and pickups. The neck is to die for.

Thanks mate, had to pack in gigging due ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia and I got all these pedals to build a bass/drums duo but my hands hurt to much.

Sold all my standard scale basses… can only play short scale instruments now. It may change if I find a way to cope.

I have a lovely Claude Marchand French bow I got from Thomas Martin…. It’s getting some TLC and re-haired at a trusted luthier’s….

I have been diagnosed with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and finding it almost impossible to hold my French bow for more than 5 minutes…. It is what it is…. I’m getting treatment etc. But it’s gonna be a long process.

I was wondering if anyone would be up for a swap for a German bow of similar quality? Or if this the wrong forum point me in the right direction.
