1.
Im pretty much decided that I'm gonna get one of these, I've heard nothing but praise for them and the one I tried was really nice. I just can't decide which colour I prefer between the Fiesta Red and White. I've only seen the red in real life, anyone know somewhere in Manchester or nearabouts where I can see the white version? Whichever one I get, Im gonna stick a black pickguard on it I hate the pearl on the red and not a massive fan of the tort on white. Im swaying towards red and black at the moment...the fact Im a United supporter may be the reason why lol. Gotta say I prefer the vintage white *with* the tort pickguard... Would love one myself but I reckon it'd spoil you for 34" basses. After all, a Mustang has gotta be easier to play ;-)
 2. I feel the need for a really Fender sounding bass to compliment my Ibanez gear.... The trouble is I like the Precision sound *and* the Jazz sound. For Jazz I love the *growl* and for Precision I love the *deep clank* As to necks I really like the Jazz neck better... Budget would be no more than £600 or so new... I'm considering the Geddy Lee, the Reggie Hamilton, the Jazz 24, I have to say that I like Japan or Korea more than Mexico, but that's because of a bad experience with a really crummy MIM Jazz a while back. Of course, maybe the Fender sound is better from someone elses brand ;-) Any thoughts please...
 3. Thanks for all the info. guys ;-) I'll order that Ibanez hardcase...
 4. Apologies if this has been covered before, but what's the general experience with ordering stuff from Thomann in Germany?
nice rig nimrod, would you mid shareing your settings as i have an ashdown too, a mag mind, and an ibanez sr500 think yours is the 1000. but would imagine the output of yours to be fairly similar. just playing around with my settigns at the mo.
I keep the input at twelve o'clock, bypass all the EQ, keep the valve grind at twelve o'clock and bypass the octave thingy. I get my tone contro; from the guitars active EQ and the SansAmp bass drivers contro;s. Seems to work best that way ;-)
