  1. SOLD MANY THANKS

    Hi all!

Looking to move on my 2U rack drawer. This is from Thon which I think are Thomann's in house brand - used their stuff a lot and I think is great quality for the price. Moving on simply because I've rearranged my rack and it's now surplus to requirements, in addition don't have the room to store it (live in a small apartment with my wife and cat - things get cluttered quickly!).

    It's this one: https://www.thomann.de/gb/thon_rackschublade_2he.htm

It's difficult to find the words to make a sales pitch really - it's a drawer. It does this admirably!

2U, fits in a normal 19" rack, good size internally, can take 25kg of stuff, made from steel and pretty much bomb proof in terms of construction. Owned from new in 2019, has been kept in a rack the entire time since and thanks to the pandemic and my own ill-health has thus barely ever left the house. It's in great condition.

It's ruggedness and weight is also why this is priced as it is - I would very much prefer a collection as this will likely cost a fair amount to ship, though will do this at buyer's expense.

Based in Surbiton (near Kingston Upon Thames, postcode is KT6). Currently at home recovering from a large abdominal surgery (ulcerative colitis sucks) so can very much be at your convenience in terms of when you might want to collect.

Will answer questions as best I can, please see my feedback thread below.

    Cheers!

  2. A question for all of you ABM owners - how would you describe the cab sound? John Stockman is a guy I really like and seems to use them, and I've noticed an ABM at a good price nearby. Any insights appreciated!

edit - I'd be running an axe fx into it via a matrix poweramp

    Snip with the case, methinks.

    But don't 'need' two...

I think they definitely do better in pairs 😂

just fyi to everyone too - I’ll be having a fairly large abdominal surgery next Thursday (18th May, ulcerative colitis sucks) so will be out of action and unable to be packing up the bass / travelling for a meet for a minimum of 6 weeks, likely closer to eight. So if I’m a bit patchy in responding during this time I apologise, and furthermore if you’re thinking about going for it it’s gonna need to be this weekend or waiting till after! 😊

  5. SOLD - MANY THANKS

    Hi there,

Looking to sell my 2007 CIJ Geddy Lee jazz bass. It's been a wonderful bass and used so much over the years, however truthfully since moving to Dingwalls a few years ago I haven't really ever touched anything else and I'd like to free up some funds towards a Canadian model.

I've owned this from new, bought in Boston and transported back here. It comes with a Fender TSA flight case and the case candy too. It is a simply fantastic bass and well deserving of its reputation. The neck is a dream and it sounds great.

It's been well loved and well used - gigged and recorded - and as a result there are some small dings/scrapes as shown in the photos. None of these affect playability and truthfully aren't particularly noticeable, particularly under stage lighting.

Looking for £825 £775 OVNO which is in line with previous ones from what I can see on here, particularly as it is coming with the flight case which was a few hundred extra. Happy and would prefer to do a meet rather than posting it however I can do so at buyer's expense. I'm in London and around Oxford fairly regularly.

Happy to answer any questions as best I can, please let me know!

  6. SOLD

Apologies all, not sure how to change the automated price thing so it's now £650 £600 £575

    Hi all,

Seeing if there's any interest for this. I'd' always liked aerodynes so I bought it as a bit of a punt a few years ago because it looked great, the specs looked decent and I'd heard that the company made awesome guitars, and I'm glad to say it proved a really good purchase! It's been a fun bass to play and I think it sounds fantastic. Here are the specs, though for me the highlight of this bass is the neck - it's a really easy bass to play, particularly with the longer scale length.

    SCALE LENGTH 35”

NECK 2 Graphite Rods & Dual Action Truss

    HARDWARE Chrome

    TUNERS Hipshot

    FRETBOARD Ebony

    BRIDGE Hipshot A Style

    PICKUPS G&B Golden Age StewMac

    NECK WOOD Single Piece Maple

    BODY WOOD Solid Ash

    CONSTRUCTION Bolt-On

    FINISH Semi-Gloss

Here it is in action (not my video)

I haven't seen these come up very often so it's hard to judge but I think the pricing is fair. However if this is completely out of line feel free to let me know :) . This hasn't been used outside of band practice and home practice so it's in excellent condition, and a gig bag will come with it.

I'd rather do a collection/meet rather than trust this to shipping companies, though will ship at buyer's expense and risk if that's what's wanted.

Happy to answer questions as best I can.

    Thanks!

  7. In today's shocking news: Darkglass put out another distortion pedal 😆

In all seriousness though I can see the appeal - my B7KU is the foundation sound to my tone and always on/set to the same settings, so I can see the upsides of having a tiny footprint. That said though it would be nice to see Darkglass try something else, this must be well over the 10th distortion pedal they've produced?

I imagine next in line will be an equivalent of the alpha omega, x7 etc.

  8. Essentially the title really, considering parting ways with my Mesa 2x10 to move towards a 6x10 but really have no idea of where to value it, and if it's fairly low (the Powerhouses over the years seem to vary a lot in price) then I'll more than likely hold on to it and maybe go looking for another Mesa 2x10 or 4x10 to make an equivalent to a bigger cab.

Any ideas or insights greatly appreciated :)

    Thanks!

  9. Got a II XL+, amazing bit of kit! Thanks to COVID I haven't had the opportunity to use mine live yet but been very happy in rehearsals. Also a lot of fun to noodle around with on guitar too. Wish the UI was better but can't have it all I guess
