1. Bump, price is now £275 have listed the item on ebay
2. Im selling my Ibanez SRX705 that has been collecting dust for a few years now. Current Price: £235 It is a through-neck 5 string bass, lovely tone for a budget price. The bass is in practically perfect condition, not a single nick or scratch or area of damage on the body or neck i can see. Only thing i can say is that the metallic parts such as the knobs, frets and tuners are a slightly tarnished colour which i have made no attempt to clean so not sure if they can be made shiny again. Important thing to note - i changed the factory strings years ago to what i guess are very heavy gauge ones (sorry i dont know the correct terminology anymore haven't played for so long), but anyway the new strings were meant for low tuning, i did not change the b string thats the original (hence the mismatching colours). The other strings are tuned to CGCF and i think you would need a new set for standard tuning. I don't know if i kept the factory set ill have a look before it goes and include them if they are still here. The bass has seen no use out of home practice and that wasn't very often. It comes from a smoke free home too. I also have the original ibanez tags and instruction booklet it was sold with. The bass can be collected from me in person at my home in Grantham or at nearby city's such as Lincoln or Nottingham. I can pack it very well and send it via courier but that would be at the buyers own expense & planning (and risk) Selling due to not playing for years and needing to fund my studies. Any questions feel free to ask, also any helpful advice regarding the price or item specifics would be appreciated. I am open to offers and will lower the price if there is no interest. 3. Hey sorry, only just got home. This has now sold
4. Bump still for sale. Price lowered to 32£
5. Selling this pedal as i barely use it anymore. Adds alot of high end to cut through the mix - and i guess 'emphasizes pick attack / finger percussive sound' Im sure you can find a youtube video or manufacturers description to better explain what it does. I can give more info if needed just feel free to message me. it has only been used to practice at home. It is in excellent condition with no signs of wear or damage. Comes complete with box & instruction insert which are also in top condition. 32£ posted. (would prefer paypal as payment method).
6. Thanks for the info guys. Its currently pending a sale. I would rather see it go to use elsewhere as even without the issue i think it would be collecting dust here i dont play so much the last few years, and tend to do my practice on a different type of bass.
7. Selling my MM Sub bass i bought a few years, It however came with what i could call a fault/issue i will do my best to explain it: The output jack socket is loose or has a bad connection. The bass is fine when played with little movement. Such as practicing at home. However if you move around alot the output can cut out and you have to fiddle with the lead / adjust it to get the sound back. As far as i can tell it has nothing to do with wiring just the metal connections between the jack and socket(ii use the same lead for other basses so isn't that). They might even just need cleaning... but i cant guarantee that. I have no knowledge of instrument components so have not tried to fix this myself. I opened it once but the output socket has a plastic cover and i dont have the tools to tighten it from the outside nor did i want to break anything so i have kept it as it is. I have listed this at a bargain price for anyone who just wants a practice bass or wants to fix it themselves and resell. About the bass itself: It has seen little action. The headstock has some tiny nicks on the very top but is otherwise in great condition. The neck is perfect and smooth apart from 1 tiny mark which should be barely visible on the pic. The body is in perfect condition as far as i can tell. The strings were changed not too long ago, i wasnt happy with the picked tone when using newer strings on it (tried several sets) this is one of the main reasons for it just gathering dust. It has a nice fat tone when plucked with fingers though. I am not interested in trading The bass can be picked up from my home in Grantham. Or i could travel to a nearby city such as Nottingham or Lincoln. I don't mind sending it via courier (cushioned in a padded gig bag) but this would need to be organized by the buyer and at their own risk. Any further questions or want to see more pics just post here. Also the price will be negotiable if there is a lack of interest.
8. On friday i had to replace the strings on a MM sub(assumed it had stock factory ones still on it) as the A and E were starting to rattle/buzz and deceided to try ernie ball slinky stainless steel ones. Ive only used nickel strings in the past and thats what i currently use on my other basses. I was quite shocked when i put them on the bass. I loved the tone before but now its completely lost it. The tinny acoustic sound coming from playing with a pick alone is quite overpowering without even going through the amp. To practice i have to turn the amp up very high and its still nothing like it was before. Anyone within 30 feet can clearly hear it. I pretty much only use a pick when i play this bass didnt try the fingerstyle tone. The tone of an open string or on the upper frets (1-3) is aweful, its so zingy and metallic. Its only when i play on frets 9+ that it loses that sound. Ive always been told to give strings a few days before they get their tone but ive never experienced this with nickels. Will this sound go away after sometime as right now i would rather put the old buzzy strings in until i can replace them for another set of nickels its become such a horrible bass to play.
9. I bought this cheap off ebay a few months ago to help try cut down on batteries as im usually only using 1 pedal i didnt want to buy a block to power them all at once, i was expecting this to do the job but i cant seem to get it to work and thought its maybe risky to play around with such things. I have taken a picture with my phone maybe someone could tell me if its set up wrong. The voltage is set to 9(even though the cheap switch doesnt line up correctly!) which i assume is right, its the other switch i have no clue about, theres no instructions and the diagram doesnt match anything ive seen in my pedal manuals. Hopefully you can see clearly enough with this photo, my mobile phone camera didnt like to auto focus on something so small. Ive had it plugged into an EHX pedal with those settings and nothing seemed to happen it just ran off a flat battery for a few mins then the LED went dead. The manual says having an adapter plugged in should overide the battery so i dont need to remove it first i guess.
10.
No i mean the current (discontinued?) ATK700 made in korea. Ash body and maple cap. 5 piece maple & walnut neck. Single 3 coil pickup with no scratchplate. Like this one.
I was looking to buy one for sometime but was stuck between this and paying slightly more for a MM sub. The problem is that ATK model is 200 GBP more than the ATK300 and the only difference is the 5 piece neck which as far as i understood makes no tonal difference, it also looks alot cheaper imo as there is no scratchplate. In the end though i searched endlessly for a 750 or 400 series (the one with the extra jazz pu) as it made the bass even more versatile but i just couldnt find them in UK and the US websites that did international shipping wanted credit card receipts/id etc. on top of shipping that costs almost as much as the bass itself so for now i gave up. If you've got the patience i would recommend trying to get a 750 imported over that one. I think they cost 700$ which is about the same as a atk300 here.
