Morning all,
anyone know any good spray/refinish gurus? I have a fender jazz i've picked up recently which I really like and I'm toying with the idea of apply a bit of TLC, just wondered if anyone has any knowledge in terms of getting a refinish (I fancy a different colour) and possibly a neck refinish? is it a bonkers idea and if not where good to go?
Cheers

I'll piccy mine later.

Yup, i've been reading the posts, I'm not in a huge rush, have just picked a fender at a v good price and fancy tarting it up a tad.

Morning All,
daft question but does anyone know where I can source (or have made) an 8 hole pick guard for a fender jazz? I've looked online and found loads of 10's, 12's etc but no 8'S, just worried the screw holes will be in the wrong place!
Cheers.

Just bought a USA jazz off Frank, great price and a really nice bass, completely hassle free transaction and a pleasure to deal with, can highly recommend.

Love it, a real looker!

No love for a v decent little mucho cheapo combo? still available and a bargain for someone!
-
I have one and I have to agree, will write a full review when I get a mo.
-
Its V good, you will love them, so easy to play and sounds great, I'm speccing out a 4 string fretted at the mo, I just have to make sure I don't spend the holiday money on it this year as I wont get away with that 2 years running!

Stil available, may take a wee offer to clear the space as its not being used.

Picked her up this morn, absolutely stunning in every way, looks and feels stonking, the build is top draw and jeez what a sound! Now to try to learn to play a fretless! Pics and sound to follow.

Very kind indeed Gary, thankyou sir. Unfortunately I just realised it doesn't have an aux input (not sure why I thought it did) so I'm afraid it's no good for me. Sorry to mess you about.
[/quote]no Worries, not a prob! Still going if anyone wats a decent little amp on a budget. -
Cheers for the offer Gary, that would have been ideal, if only I''d put it up a week ago, I've just had a weeks hols but alas next mon I'm in work again, I'll go box hunting and see what I can do.

Possibly, just need to find something to put it in, or meet on the m5 if you can chuck in a few quid for petrol, maybe cheaper and less hassle?

37.5mm at the nut so jazzish, also a slim/shallowish profile, v comfy (I had this one built originally).

Its in v good nick and full working order (Pics to follow).
I'll take £50 firm if you come and get it.

Ahhh so if needed I could get a MB dealer to flip the switch for me? although I think (and if I'm wrong I hope someone will tell me) we are now standardised voltage across the EU? Love the look of the new promethean, less power than the last??
-
Think I'll do it, prob with a ny 12" extension cab
-
Cheers for the info guys, I'm eyeing it up on thomann which is what cheaper than here, I'm assuming that their 230v is th same as ours?!
-
Morning all,
anyone got any thoughts on the Markbass CMD121p combos? I'm after a small lightweight combo, I have been eyeing a promethean but they are getting increasingly difficult to come by, also the Genz shuttle 1x12 but the markbass works out a fair bit cheaper, just curious! I wouldnt br doing any rock gigs etc on it, bits of pits etc. -
When I first saw this I tried to con Alan into making me one like it, its a lovely shape, but alas it was a one off, its a real shame that I'm skint now!
