Didn't happen to find this on TDPRI by any chance?

Still, excellent board, well done :)

Yeah I saw that, Couldn't get the extra wood to raise the board though but it is big enough without it!
That and the cheap SoundLab PSU is HUGE!
Definitely a great way to do a board

3. My D.I.Y made board and my first board ever! I'm excited and impressed, just finished it off today and am now waiting for the EHX Enigma Q Balls to try fit somewhere. The Q-tron is getting sold and the Behringer BSY600 I doubt will live on there.

Got a few more pics of the building just here http://basschat.co.u...d-my-own-board/
4. So, I wasn't too keen on the prices of a pedalboard out there and decided to go my own way about it. Of course I looked around and found some examples of D.I.Y jobs and it lead me on this journey.
I apologize for the size of pics, I took them straight off my phone.

1. I ordered some "Gorm shelves" from Ikea, only £7 plus P&P. Wehn they came they looked like this:

2. Started getting the pedal bug and went off buying too much from here on BC! Once I Bought a few I gave them a quick go on the whole shelf to get a feeler:

3. After that I cut it down and painted it. I was far too impatient to find some sort of case to get a proper size of board but I'll worry about that another day!

4. I bought some velcro off of eBay, only a meter and only 25mm so I had to order more but this time 50mm and the board looked like this!

I was pretty damn chuffed really, it looks awesome! I may get some rubber feet for the bottom of it but otherwise I don't think I need to do too much else :)

Anyway this is the final set up, well maybe. I'm unsure of the order to put it all in at the moment and the Q-tron is getting replaced with the Enigma Q Balls!

I got the input now into the tuner and then the Q-tron going into the compressor then that into the MXR, Behringer then out.
All in all the board cost about £15! and the Gorm shelves come in packs of two, so I can either make a bigger board (bad idea!) or a mini one for 3, maybe 4 pedals to be daisy chained on

5. "The Micro Q-Tron is a smooth envelope filter with a funky wah-wah tone. The filter is controlled by its internal envelope follower, analyzing the volume of your notes and the dynamics of your playing to directly sweep the filter's center or cutoff frequency. A stronger attack or louder note will produce a wider frequency sweep while softer playing produces more subtle effects. Use the Q control to make the effect more dramatic."

And I'm selling mine now I've gone for a larger envelope filter.

Comes with original box (which is a little tatty) and instructions.
The box itself is a good condition, no dents, scratches or velcro.

i doubt that your combo is the problem.

ive heard loads of combos that have sounded awesome! are you feeling its boomy on stage? i always get someone who know the sound i like/want to gimme a nod from the back if its sounding ok.

I just always thought that being a bigger cone (15") that it could be lacking definition.
I have a 2x10 cab extension but just dont always get the chnace to get it in my car. If I did I'd use it all the time

7. I keep playing some larger halls for charity or function events but am worried my sound is getting pretty lost and I have a fear of going too crazy with eq or volume in case I just become a noise.

Any sorta tips with getting a decent sound? In the halls you just seem to be too tinny or too bassy.
I got a 1x15 combo which is probably the problem.

Cheers, Greg

I found out to bypass preamp in this bass - take the battery out! Actually sounds much nicer without and made me realise how the preamp is not transparent at all.

When I take the battery out the bass dies :S

9. I had the same problem.
Had a dirt cheap psu plug with daisy chain and it couldnt handle more than 2 pedals cuz it would buzz and squeak.
Probably didnt have enough power in it.

To solve it I bought a sound labs psu that powers 6 pedals no problem and ive tried it with 5. That ebay supply I think would work. Its like the budget psu that andertons sell in guildford and I know a couple of guys running it. Not sure if id trust it with 10 pedals tho!

I feel more comfortable with a dedicated multi psu now anyway and it works :)

Hope that helps
